I just purchased Komplete and the first thing I installed was Absynth. I went to use it once installed and tried to get some sort of sound to come out of my laptop (using the clickable keyboard that's a part of the program). No sound. Somewhere along the way I goofed a setting of some kind, such that not it immediately crashes when I run it.

    I'm using Windows 10 Pro on a Dell XPS-15.

It did run for a while, although no sound, so I think it's a user error. How do I completely remove the program with all settings, etc.? I'm accustomed to software leaving traces of itself behind so if this is the case I'm afraid a simple uninstall might result in the same issue as before.

    Thanks for your help!

Uninstalled and reinstalled and it crashes immediately upon startup. Is there something somewhere else, some .ini file or registry entry that I can delete?

OK, I uninstalled and then ran the reg tool but Absynth didn't show up. So I'm re-downloading it and re-installing it so that it'll show up in the list and, hopefully, I can delete the reg entries so it'll work again.

    Couple thoughts:
    1. Is there a way to save the download so I don't hit my data cap for 2.2 GB every time I try this?
    2. Would it make sense to install Komplete 8 Ultimate from the little hard drive I got, and then update from NI, or would I end up just downloading the same amount of data each time?

Currently not possible with Native Access. So you'll either:
    • Or download updates manually from the Download Area (see below).
As a side note: Native Access and Service Center can be installed side by side.

Yeah, if hitting a data cap is an issue, it's probably a better solution to do the following:

    1) Installing Absynth from the K8U drive
    2) Downloading the Absynth Update installer once - around 1 GB for the latest 5.3.1 update - from here (after you login with your account): https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/update-manager/
