I'd like to be more selective in the libraries I install, as I feel overwhelmed with too many libraries of sounds that I'm not at all interested in. I'm on windows, after I uninstall these, do I need to go inside the registry to delete them, or will Komplete Kontrol, recognize the results.

Is this all that's needed in order to correctly, remove listings from Komplete Kontrol, or is there something more specific that needs to be done in regards to NKS?

    Thanks in advance!

Just uninstalling using Windows should be enough.

Not always, sometimes remnants get left behind, so you have to edit registry, which removes the items from KK completely.

So I uninstalled the plugins I no longer want to use in Komplete Kontrol, removed some NKS files, went into the registry and deleted the libraries I no longer want, but now I have a bunch of greyed out plugins inside Komplete Kontrol browser. Such as Waves codex, etc..

I'm now getting the dreaded, no plugin found message, as well as greyed out icons..

How do I completely remove these greyed out icons now? And how do I actually load the plugins I want to keep?
thanks in advance if you can help..

That's what I feared for... normally you'd uninstall, run the software again so that it could detect the changes and update the whole thing for you. That's how I've done it with Komplete 12 and it worked perfectly. Immediately messing around in the registry disrupted that workflow and as a result the program now has to deal with a semi-corrupt database.

Messing around in the registry should always be a last resort measure, not something you do casually "just because".

I've read the tutorial on "no plugin found " went into Native Access, updated the path where to find plugins, but it's still not loading them.

I fixed the issue with plugin not found, but why is there tutorials on how to install, but not uninstall sounds if you don't want them.. The idea that I have to jump through hoops to uninstall and minimize the sounds I want to show up in Komplete Kontrol is a mess! Greyed out icons, how come I can't just select which plugins I wish to show up or not, all withinn KK software?
Even Akai's VIP allowed this, how is it that NI are deemed leaders in the software world, when their code is such bullshit to work with.
