How to use different note lengths controlled from MJam?

    Hi,

I am the owner of a Machine Jam for a couple of days now. I have been through almost the entire manual, but it is not clear to me how I can adjust the note length for a single note only. I know about grid size, but that is for all notes. I have two questions:

    1) Is it possible to change the note length using the MJam if I already recorded the note in a different length? And this note length is different from the length of all other notes. If so, how can I do this?
    2) Related to this, how can I select using the MJam a single note? (or multiple?) I only know how to select entire groups or patterns, but not single notes.

I preferably do this by using the MJam only, so without using the mouse, if possible.

Unless it's hidden and/or really unintuitive...
    1) No.
    2) You can't.

Unfortunately, I think that's an understatement. This is not the only "reasonably expected" feature that didn't make it before release either (assuming these features will eventually be part of JAM). At least, however, JAM does have serious potential to be good at what it does, it just remains to be seen if and if so, when it will be realised.

I saw that there is a way to have different note lengths however, you maybe already know about it, but if not, here is what I found:
For example during step sequencing, by changing the grid size from time to time you can create notes with different lengths. You can also do something similar by adjusting the note rythm value during note repeat. This can even be done while note repeat is running.

I am following the following ADSR series (which are free so you can watch them too): https://www.adsrcourses.com/media/2.3-working-with-the-step-sequencer/56001/feature

Especially episode 2.3 is interesting, because there you can see how to create steps of different lengths.

This is off course not the same as what I really want (to select already recorded notes and change length) but it comes in the direction of it.

Maybe you already know this, but just in case.

Aye, @FastGazelle, you're not wrong. My response was concerned with editing the notes after they were recorded/programmed. Indeed, as you explain, you can change the grid size or live-record differently to input different note lengths.
