    Hello,

I'm trying to use midi vst plugins like I do with Cubase but I can't manage how to do that with Maschine.

Maschine is standalone and it's my hardware synths sequencer.
I want to put an arp midi vst plug on a midi track and arpegiate my hardware synth. How could i do ?

Why there are audio vst plugs on the midi tracks ?
Why the midi plugs take the place of the midi output ? They shoud placed as inserts I think (that's Cubase does).

    thanks for your answers.

It's not possible at the moment to route midi out of a plugin in Maschine. :(

It's a much wished for feature and in the latest Maschine "on the record" James from NI said audio and midi routing will be expanded but no one knows when.

Wait.. so you can't load a Reaktor sequencer (like Colorflex by Twisted Tools) into Maschine to sequence external sounds?

    unfortunately no :(

and you can't use it to sequence other plugins inside Maschine either.

fwiw, both is possible with Kore.

But you can run them externally in Reaktor standalone and send the MIDI by virtual cables to Maschine.

So it is almost the same, just not as convenient and you can't save the whole thing as a preset.

You mean nested, like a family of matryoshka dolls (Colorflex in Kore, Kore in a pad, a pad in Maschine, Maschine in Reaper, etc)?

You could use a plugin chainer though i didnt find at least energyXT to be very stable as a plug in maschine. There was another one that had midi out from plugins, but it cost $ and i feel i shouldnt have to spend extra cash on it. XT i already had (which is a great daw (at least for how i work with music))

I really wish i could use Catanya in maschine, it would help making trancish styles so much.
