How To Use Pitch Bend In Kontakt?

Newbie question here. I use a Triton Extreme 88 as a midi controller for my Kontakt libraries. The pitch bend stick on the Triton does not have any effect on my Kontakt instruments. How do you set this up?

 

you should give a specific example so someone can test it out...list some libraries and patches that you are having issue with... and FYI, not all instruments are set to respond to pitch shifting, or the Pitch wheel is used to control other aspects of the instrument (may not be related to pitch)

 

Session Strings. Surely pitch bend is supposed to work with this library??

 

well looking at Session Strings 2 manual, By default, PB appears to be assigned to control the "Scoops and Falls" articulations and not standard PB. if you click the Gear icon at the bottom left, you can change that to "Range" which gives traditional PB control over the instrument. For more Info, I would check the "Pitchbend Setup" section of the Session Strings Manual that pertains to the Version of the Library you have (Standard 2 or Pro 2)

 

Maybe I am misunderstand your issue, but Session Strings has a pitch bend selector right there in the interface. Just click the drop down list button under pitch bend and select normal and you have pitch bend. That is assuming you don't have an issue with your keyboard's pitch bend being mapped to Kontakt properly.

 

Is that an older version of SS? Does not look like the one I have....

 

I think it came with my original Komplete 10 purchase. Along the way, I have collected 3 versions of Session Strings...
