    I think, as far as a company response is concerned, one would have to go with 'bad'.

    I still feel more than a little sorry for Thomas and Keir. I've had private conversations with both and they are genuinely decent people and, in all honesty, I think they're doing the best they can. I guess they're right in the crossfire at the moment and I guess that, with the best will in the world, they're simply having to pass on the nebulous (or specious) answers that THEY are being given. And most of those appear to be of the 'froth and foam' variety (did I just make up 'froth and foam'? I like it).

    Added to which, this forum is on fire at the momnet. There's so much stuff coming through; I've hardly done ANY work this evening, jsut keeping up with what's going on here Oh! And some seething, of course.

    I also genuinely feel sorry for Thomas and Keir..Also for Danny and his mate - but for a very different reason...Danny and his Mate have stuck T & K up as cannon fodder and to pass on the "corporate speak" and that's not too fair..There was a time when the Kings led from the front...

    I feel sorry for Danny and Mate because they obviously just don't listen to their people and that has been the great undoing of many leaders in world history...

    There will be nothing rude or libelous in the Facebook group. I just want to try and get as many numbers as we can in there and see if it gets any outside press attention. Any bitching we do in the forums can easily be ignored but inquiries about an incensed fanbase by bloggers and online media will have a much more immediate impact.

    This has nothing to do with Keir and Thomas. This is legitimate civil discourse on a more visible forum than NI's company site in order to spread the word. I have a feeling there might be a bunch of Kore owners out there that aren't even aware the product has been discontinued.

    How would they know unless they came to this forum? It's not like NI emailed anyone ANY notice at all about this. It's our duty to inform other users!

    Close to indifferent is how I would describe the response so far but there is nothing NI really NEED to do at this point....

    They could have killed Kore right now offering no further enhancements or updates, so they are giving something and to me its quite significant.

    They could reinstate the Kore packs for registered Kore users. This may take a few days to set up, particularly if there is some decision to be made on pricing them. I don't really see the problem with offering them at the previous price, its availability to purchase thats important.

    While it may make a lot of people feel happier by shouting/threatening/trashing the company. Ultimately it will have zero impact. Those that think some sort of public awareness/hate campaign will affect NI's business are sadly deluded. Sorry, but that is a reality.

    I would suggest being civil, after all we know the score now, not much is going to change - like it or not, revisiting the same points repeatedly with slightly different wording is not going to have any effect at all.

    Well, you seem to have spent the last couple of days saying exactly the same things, threating to bring down the company. It doesn't matter how many times you say it or how loudly you say it, it ain't going to happen. So ... why say it.

    Who is threatening to "bring down the company"? Let's not get ridiculous kb123. Just because you are not as pissed off as the rest of us doesn't mean we don't have legitimate problems with how this was handled by NI.

    As should be obvious, NI is losing a lot of customers over this and the ones who remain will be a LOT more wary of buying into any integrated systems from this company in the future.

    It's not about "bringing down the company". We're not in high school. Many of us invested a LOT of money into the Kore system and the soundpacks based on the longevity promised by NI.

    Seems like it was all a bait and switch marketing lie at this point.

    Yup. Digitalboy1 and Chrys in particular who's also been advocating pirating NI's products repeatedly all over the forum.

    Yes it was me...Guilty as charged your honour :) I was metaphorically referring to each of NI's users as a "brick in the company wall" and as many of us have become "dis-orientated" because of the Kore execution,we may be removing ourselves from that wall - effectively "bringing it down" ..

    Wasn't there a wall in Berlin before ?

    I also painted a picture of the NI crew floating down the Danube without a paddle... Danny and Mate were making the beats and spinning the discs while the rest of the crew were bailing - literally :)

    Keir has PM'd me and given me the heads up that I have been violating some of the forum rules and I may be given a yellow card - suspended from the game...That's OK by me... I have lost faith in the direction that the product line and the support is going now so it's no biggie to me...

    I do apologise if I have violated some of the forum "rules" but I in no way apologise for standing up and being proactive regarding a corporate decision that we all consider to be a total and unmitigated disaster for NI...

    Before I am yellow carded - I want to wish the "musical" developers @ NI ,Thomas and Keira - poor fellows - and the NI user base all the very best for the future ! ajw

    I still think it all lacks transparency in communication.
    Keir stated he is monitoring the forums closely, noting down things and pass his notes further.

    I'd like to get to know WHAT exactly he filtered out of here.
    And to whome he's passing this onto.

    i have had many email exchanges with Keir - about all sorts of things - i have also spoken to him on the phone - that was at least 2 weeks ago - and i can tell you that he is passionate about his job and is taking it very seriously.

    but statements like that are not going to help at all.

    also starting loads of new threads with impossible to answer questions is not going to help.

    i think you guys need to realize it is nearly the end of the working week. so prepare yourselves for the possibility that there might not be any more definitive communication until next week.

    and just so you are completely sure of my role as a moderator - i don't get paid for doing this, so my opinions are mine and have nothing to do with NI.

    a press release or some statement from the company at large would be nice.

    When Amazon pulled some books from people's kindles without asking, Bezos wrote a personal apology letter to the users and posted it on the homepage of Amazon. That's a stud move there, taking responsibility and restoring faith...

    We can forgive mistakes, particularly when they are owned up to, but contempt for paying customers is inexcusable to me... Just to be clear, the "mistake" I am referring to in this case is how the announcement was mishandled by NI. It's their prerogative to discontinue products but to give customers literally no warning and summarily remove everything from the store is extremely poor judgment and un-professional conduct in my opinion.

    the poor conduct, IMO, was the entirely mismanaged Kore product lifetime. the way NI ended it is just the exclamation point of an already offensive statement (or the decoder ring for those who hadn't managed to figure it out on their own).

    Nobody, except those who already own Kore are listening to this. Take it outside, take all of your posts and copy/paste them into kvr.

    There is such a strong negative reaction to NI but nobody outside of the kore owners are actually seeing this. NI know this an they can then simply ignore.

    Take all the comments to kvr/instruments there is already a topic there. Otherwise it's just "stimulation" between us fellow kore owners
