please realize that Kore's discontinuation was somehow leaked before NI had a chance to actually communicate properly with the community.

i agree that in the past that NI have been really bad when it comes to communicating with their customers, but they are a darn site better than they used to be.

Keir's appointment is proof that NI want to improve on their communication with users. unfortunately his appointment has coincided with this leaked information.

Sorry but thats just sad. It's a long time after all leaks and I don't have any word from NI. I expect this to be the past, present and future. Buyer beware.

And sowari, how can you continue to be a supporter, make excuses for NI after all of this and their history.

Keir hasn't actually sad anything of value ( "it may be this but perhaps not") so far so how useful is that.

ironically, because of Maschine. and i am being serious. Maschine and the dev team behind it - and the beta team - is an example of how NI should could be.

and btw, if NI had discontinued Kore without promising updates, there is no way that i would be spending any time on this forum giving any support to NI.

Sowari, unless you know something I don't have much confidence in the maschine team. Sorry, but I bought into it and all I see so far is missing but very obvious features and the same old story of the community pleading for very simple features and no reaction, no communication from NI. Why shouldn't midi import be part of the feature list, why should the ability to start/ stop the transport of a host be part of the features and countless others.

Yes I do see they are staring to sell expansion packs for kore but thats the same old story for kore. How long until we see recycled packs from kore turning up as maschine expansions to buy again sorry but the same problems I saw for kore are already repeating for maschine. Of course the community are hyped that kore is dead and now they have the resources but I doubt it will play out that way

Given the wasteland you see here, how can you stick around and support NI in this forum with make up emails. I predict we see the same story with fm8, battery, absynth and eventually kore. Of course on the road there, NI will introduced many new and innovative products. Problem is that we, paying customers want stability and a reasonable feature set instead.

The discontinuation of Kore is a total failure in the way it's been communicated. NI should be aware of the fact that they have been able to grow thanks to customer loyalty. They shouldn't foget this. Everything NI ever did was made possible thanks to customer loyalty.

I have to agree with Sowari here, support and progress for Maschine has been pretty damn good. If it hadn't have been for many, many Maschine users requesting Plug-in integration, it wouldn't have happened.

I've also had personal experiences of contacting members of the Maschine team and getting bugs ironed out.

Would also say that it's good that Kore is getting these updates, even though I'm miffed that it won't go multicore.

One final feeling I have is that NI have got some tricks up their sleeve as to what happens next as far as new products and ideas go. Sometimes you have to let go of the old to have room for the new. Otherwise you stagnate.

Probably not a popular view but I am available for children's parties...

    Amen

Amen to that...It's what we've been trying to tell them - but they are a "private" company now and the management are not here to listen...

In hindsight,do you think that the "VST integration" could be in any way linked to their knowledge that Kore was going to be axed ? Mmmmm Just a thought...

Of course there has been progress on Maschine because they have taken all of the resources out of Kore and thrown it into their "new vision" of the "future of sound"

FWIW - I am a 3 foot high, dyslexic dwarf with a limp and a black belt in Oragami... Any chance of teaming up for those birthday parties ? I love eating cake :)

... In hindsight, yes it is possible. From what I remember it didn't seem likely to happen but users were very vocal about it... I was surprised when plug-in integration was announced.

On the other hand, the plug-in integration that did come was nowhere near as evolved as Kore's so you could also debate that they would have gotten it closer if NI were planning on making Maschine 'the new Kore'?

Don't know, don't know if we'll ever know the full story. *shrug*

I think we can work with that. For the love of cake. :)

Not so sure that NI introduced plug in hosting by customer´s request.if i remember, they made a survey between the customers with a few diferent choices....And about ideas and tricks NI have for the future i think it will be just about money making exclusively.

Check out the Maschine forums... there were plenty of threads with folk requesting plug-in integration.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you for not timestretching them or, worse, splitting them up and spreading over 16 pads. Which, of course, I realise would have made them playable but.........

Don't get me wrong... I think Timestreching will be implemented (NI have said that they won't add it until they are satisfied with the quality).

I was just suggesting that VST-hosting had been requested by a lot of users on the boards and NI implemented it.

    And NI Implemented It

And most of us are suggesting that we didn't request Kore to be axed - but NI implemented it :(

Yup, I understand that completely. I'm in the same boat.

(But we were talking about Maschine and not Kore for a second there ;) )

that there were a lot of features asked for,and they just picked up the ones that suit them the best for whatever reason
