Solved I don't understand how free the free Player actually is. Please explain!

    So, if I buy an instrument, say NOIRE and spend 100,- on it, will I get what I paid for with the Player? And all of it, all the instrument's features?

    Also, while we're here: can I expect any instrument to work nicely, if the two free instruments i've downloaded and tested work well?

    You get all the functionality of the instrument that was scripted into it. You don't get the possibility of editing the back end of patches (going into instrument edit mode).

    Depends. Kontakt libraries can vary from small and very efficient to very large and demanding. There is no easy test for this.
