Welcome, I had mine for a year before I started using it fully. You are coming in at a good time, 1.6 has made it a contender.

Welcome. I have had mine since November. I joined www.Maschinetutorials.com this month and have a decent grasp of Maschine. Much easier for me to learn by trial and error or else watching tutorials. Enjoy your Maschine :)

    +1 to this.

Also, go grab some index cards and right notes that you can refer to quickly. It really helped for me anyway until I got it stuck in my head.
I just got Maschine a week or so ago. At first it can seem a little daunting, but stick with it. After a few days of grinding it out you will be good to go. There is so much in this box, it is just amazing the hell out of me.

Slight hurdle here guys, seems the unit i won on ebay is a EDU unit. luckily the guy was understanding and gave me my money back.

i think im just going to get new one.

Someone told me that some of the facia labels has been re-designed on the models on shops now. Is that correct?

yeah ebay is full of stores selling edu. If you have a GC near you there is a coupon online for 15% off of purchases $299 and up

I came on board just the official 1.6 was released. I'm still only operating on a basic level, but I must say of everything i've EVER used (mpc, synth worksations, Cubase etc), Maschine is quickest and easiest way of getting my ideas down and developed.
I'm currently in the process of printing out a super manual of all the Maschine literature to help me further my knowlege of my investment. Maschine made production fun for me again.
    enjoy

Its good to know that you are finding producing fun again.

The thing that got me looking at Maschine was that i was getting very bored of just clicking my mouse in Ableton and making rigid grooves.

The Mike huckaby video was also a huge turning point for me. I would like to see some more house/techno producer videos using Maschine.....

Yeah, certainly don't want the EDU version. Avoided buying Maschine on eBay last year for fear of ending up with one and a lying seller.

Be careful bro, Maschine is a powerful drug. :) And welcome to the neighborhood, some of the neighbors are a lil noisy, but they're cool and you'll get used to it after a while.
