I know this is almost blasphemic, asking on the NI forum

    No matter where I click a "register" link I end up back at http://forum.ableton.com/

    why blasphemic?

    Traktor doesn't pretend to do what Ableton does, and Ableton doesn't gear itself up specifically as a DJ program (they have stated that wasn't their original aim, and were amazed when people used it as such)

    The fact that you can use Ableton as a DJ program doesn't pose any risk to Traktor at all in my opinion - unless you specifically need VST plugins and multi-threaded audio - ( a fairly niche market)

    Anyway, turned out it was... I don't know. It all works now.

    Now I'm just waiting for someone to activate my account. Am I supposed to receive an email or something? Nothing so far.

    talking of ableton - what happened to Live 8 'Share'? Really annoying that it isnt available yet!

    They abaondoned it to regroup and fix the multitude of bugs reported. There is a sticky on Ableton forum.
