Before I start, I want to say that I HAVE TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO, NOT TSP 2 !

I have a problem thats BOTHERING me. Now after looking through the forums, I have come to the realization that sync + timecode = sync w/ NO SYNC LOCK.

Is there anyway I can achieve this sync lock? Something I've noticed is that when I use other computers, the timecode sync HOLDS way longer than others! Unfortunately, my laptop cannot hold @ all!

I was wondering, what if I installed Windows XP on my laptop? Does it have more stability with Windows XP, than Windows 7?

Ultimately, is there anything I can do to accomplish sync lock with timecode? Possibly workarounds, like a macro that constantly presses sync? I don't know...

Lastly, I am using Technics 1200 MK2s. Could the wow and flutter possibly flunctuate the sync so much that it just cuts off? When it cuts off , the BPM tends to jump to a number that QUICKLY throws the mix off track!

    Thanks for your input!

PS: Please don't look at this the wrong way. I am using 4 decks, so don't think I am trying to take the easy way out!

There is no sync lock with timecode on TPro1. If you programmed the sync key so it was always on, then you'd have no control over the track with the timecode.

    yes: buy TSP2! ;)

the syncing concept has been reviewed in TSP2, especially the timecode users get a profit from that. you can in TSP2 e.g. use the master clock and sync all decks to it and with raising the master tempo you raise the tempo of all timecode decks at once.

    i'm loving it.

with the introduction of phase shifted syncing, this is beautifully working for timecode decks as well now in TSP2. ;)

BUT! I am trying to sync the internal decks to the timecode. Not the timecode to the timecode. Is there anyway I can accomplish this?

now it doesnt matter if a deck is internal or timecode.

personally, i prefer using the master clock instead of a deck being the master, but that's because i find that easier. and i mapped raising/lowering master tempo to my KX1. i have to admit, i hardly touch the turntables pitch fader at all during the night anymore...

and if you're asking why i then use turntables at all: i also scratch, so i wouldnt want to miss my 1210s! ;)

+1 for the master clock. I use that aswell and I use my pitch fader on my turntables only to nudge my tune in place, this is why i find tsp2 so much more useful than tsp1 among alot of other things. The sync feature is so much more useful as well and the switching between timecodes and internal mode is now seamless. In tsp1 the switching between timecodes and internal most of the time made the bpm on the deck change value

Now THIS is why I love TRAKTOR! Thank you very much, I should be getting TP2 sometime next week!

I've watched so much vidoes of TP2 hoping to find something that will force me to buy, and this is it! Thank you again!
