I need your help to sync Maschine with TPro

I can not get this to work. Been at it for loads of evenings and still not got it.

When I sync Maschine to the external source, Maschine will not play in step mode. Why?

Also, my Xone 4D is triggering sounds in Maschine even though it is not showing in Maschine midi section?

I each system on separate laptops. The midi out from the Xone 4D with TPro is going into the Midi in on the Maschine controller. Do I need to route the midi to Maschine from an external sound card rather than the 4D?

In the 4D I have turned off the Xone bpm midi output so the only midi output should be from TPro.

Thanks in advance for any help. Any thoughts at all will be appreciated.

Disable all midi in in maschine from the xone 4d, to prevent xone triggering samples in maschine.

Had seen the first tutorial and tried that setup but i am still unable to get it to work.

Then second setup in the knowledge section is for TPro and Maschine on the same laptop so that is not my setup, however, I did read all of this and thanks for pointing me to the knowledge part of NI. Never knew it was there.
