    Hi Guys,

I'm not sure if i have a setting wrong or I'm just being a bit special!

I use my main traktor library to add my 'dance' music to its add to my collection as per everybody else. I don't however add my 'normal' music to my traktor library as its a massive amount and would take forever (at the last count 81,458 tracks) so i have created playlists in I-tunes and open the node up as an when i'm DJing at an event.

Now I was running 2.6.5 like this had no issues with it everything worked as it has since 2.x.x! i did the dutiful thing when 2.6.6 came out and upgraded! and just before my NYE gig couldn't use my I-tunes integration as it was coming up on every track with the message
"file missing/corupted"......holy ****! came on here and read about everybody having issues with 2.6.6 and promptly downgraded and had no issues at NYE! :)

So now i see that 2.6.7 is out i dutifully upgrade to it and i'm having the same issue as 2.6.6 but it will play from a smart playlist i have set up (only 1) with no issues, if i try and play something from either "Library or Music" i get the "missing/corruption" message again

When i open i-tunes, everything is fine, I'm using the same file directory in 2.6.7 as i was i 2.6.5 to find my i-tunes library.

so i'm just a little confused! I was wondering has anyone else had this issue? is there a known fix?

i would really appreciate a bit of help on this

    cheers

Same here, but had no problems with version 2.6.6

Since upgrading to 2.6.7 I had several Traktor crashes ("Check consistency" and loading tracks into decks).

Reloading files in iTunes helped (delete and re-import), but I am not able to figure out, which tracks are affected by this issue :-(.

Today I checked my 2.6.6 installation on my backup machine with the same tracks and had no problems.

    I opened a ticket yesterday.

    Regards, Michael

i found the same issue with only one of my around 7500 traktor collection songs. the consistency check crashed, and so did traktor.

i located the file by splitting the collection into playlists, first groups of 1000, then checked consistency for each of these groups. (select tracks within playlist, right click, select "check consistency")

i found the group of 1000 that had the "offending" track, so i split that group into smaller groups, and continued reducing the groups size until i found the track.

it is important to save the collection after splitting in playlists, and before running any consistency check, because it will hang and last changes to collection will be lost (i.e. the playlists you've just created in the effort of finding the offending track). to save collection, right click on traktor collection, save.

once i had the song located, i tried everything:

load into deck - app hang
    analyze - nothing happened
delete analysis results, re-analyze - nothing happened
loading into deck after all re-analysis efforts - app crash

so next thing i tried, delete track from collection, add it again from itunes node - bang. it worked.

my conclusion is that the problem is not the track itself, it's something in the traktor collection for that track. who knows, maybe a mismatch in track lenght, track size, between the actual and traktor collection's entry.

I seem to have found the fix! More annoyingly it was the most simple of things that i had tried a couple of times before but it seems to have fixed the issue! All i did was go into my settings and file management, and set up the itunes root folder again! (it's the same folder as before)
It seems to have fixed my issue, played 2 gigs without a hitch!

Setting up my music folders again doesn't help to solve the problem.

But i think i could find the problem.
I tried to check the audio files (mp3 and m4a) by doing a cc for always 500 tracks.
All files which caused the crashes are files, which i have tagged manually in Traktor 2.6.6.
So the files are not corrupted, its up to the traktor tagging.
By the moment i'm re-analyzing all the files.

in my case this didn't make any difference. to solve it, i deleted the song from the collection and added it again.

So finally i could solve the problem like NReek by deleting the files.
And it only applied to Tracks i've prepared in 2.6.6. - But in 2.6.5. and 2.6.6 there were no problems with them.
I could play those files in the previous versions and in iTunes and other media players on my macbook.

Now i'm really happy that i haven't edited too much tracks with 2.6.6 and that i haven't canceled iTMatch.

It is very funny, that all those tracks, which i must delete had less than 110 bpm.
EDM tracks, which i edited with 2.6.6 and more than 120 bpm were not affected.

i did not, since in my case the issue could be solved with relative ease, it was just one track that was troublesome.

what are your assumptions? maybe it helps to prevent the situation in the future.

some - not all - issues could be related to a side effect of the bug in 2.6.6 that led to the 2.6.7 quickfix. when i wrote "i have an assumption" it was only a feeling in my guts but unfortunately it seems to be like that.

please report all to the support!

as soon as i got news i'll let you know.
