Okay, okay, okay ... so I get the point that I may have wasted my money on this darn thing, but I figured I'd post here before giving up.

I have the iAxe, have purchased the full version of Guitar Rig, and want to record. However, the only way I can seem to hear my guitar is if I plug in to the headphone jack on the guitar itself.

Maybe I'm an idiot but I can not figure it out. I am using Adobe Audition as my recording software, but maybe this isn't the best one to use. Maybe it won't work like I want it to. Is there something better out there?

I see that Mac users can create an "Aggregate" audio device with the USB guitar as the input and the soundcard as the output (that's how I read the posts, anyway) ... can a PC user do the same?

Please help! Thanks in advance ...

Yes, you're not really in the right forum, so I'll move you. You'll need to use www.asio4all.com to do this.

Adobe Auditon up to the current version 2, can NOT use (host) GuitarRig software. Audition supports VST plugins, but GuitarRig as a VSTi ("virtual instrument"), which is slightly different. This may be the reason for your problems, perhaps.
(BTW it is the same with the DX plugin format, DX works, not DXi)

    same problem with X-Fi

the combos show input from guitar but no sound goes out... I even tried to record through VSTi combos into Cubase SX3 and it did record something (there was audio track copying my guitar strokes but could not play sound and exported audio mixdown was silent too)...
could this be due to wrong cooperation of the Behringer ASIO driver or is it on the Combos side?
any help would be much appreciated...
    thanks
    David

I am using Behringer iAXE393 guitar connected via USB cable... the audio sound goes from X-Fi Sound Card to my 2+1 home stereo system via standard line out...
Like I said the Combos play out when using other ASIO then Behringer but the guitar doesnt get into the combo... when I use Behringer ASIO, guitar signal is visible on the LED monitor but no sounds goes out of the system. And, like I also said, I could even record a track in SX3 (the audio is there) but still can hear nothing...

Nope, and it wont. If you want to hear the guitar, you have to plug into the guitars mini plug output. Otherwise -- how did you expect the sound to get from the guitar, into the computer, out a different soundcard...

    Hi, thanks for the reply!
I hope I said it clearly... What I want to hear from my computer is the sound of the Combos controled by the guitar. Do I really need to use instrument output of the guitar to plug into the soundcard or is this managable via the USB cable? I know it is rather a question to Behringer... Already waiting for their reply...
    Thanks again

If you're using ASIO drivers, you can have one input/output device active at a time, and the inputs and outputs must be part of the same device.

ASIO4ALL gets around this limitation by actually using the WDM drivers of the devices; using it, you can have input and output on two separate devices.
