Hi Folks. I'm kicking this idea around for a view that would behave a bit like a spreadsheet. Basically a series of "cells" in rows / columns that you can click on.

I'm thinking maybe a series of ui_tables for each row, with a ui_xy (or something else?) laid over the top to pick up the clicks? In my case, it doesn't have to be dynamic, i.e. the number of rows and columns is known.

If you're familiar with the view you get when you tap on search button on the play series instruments main view - that's the kinda thing I'm thinking about. The "cell" cursor moves around the table of sounds as you move the mouse. I think it's a really nice bit of UI design!

Or maybe the play series browser uses buttons as you'd get the hover hilighting effect "for free"...

Any suggestions / pointers much appreciated!

In Play series that was just done with a set of buttons and nothing else.
