If you move MacOS to an external drive, don't forget to change this!

I moved my MacOS to an external SSD for performance. Everything works fine, or so I thought...

I just realised today that Native Access was putting updates (eg Kontakt, Maschine) on the old internal drive, whereas my OS is running them from the new drive. This means NA thinks everything is up to date but it isn't!

I've changed the 'Application Location' in preferences to point to the correct external disc and forced a reinstall of Maschine / Kontakt / KK / Reaktor, These now get the correct versions when I run them. At least NA has an easy way to reinstall, even if you can't just tell it to point the OS Applications location to the external OS drive!

Note though the NA GUI still thinks they are installed on the unused internal disc!

Typically NI programs must be on internal boot disk, where while sound libs can go on external or second internal disk.

I think it just hardwired the OS disc name rather than use anything relative to '/' Very old-school programming approach in my view and a pain in the proverbial!
