Ignore "The" in browser?

Hi,

Is there a way to get Traktor to ignore the "The" in artist names when sorting by artist in the browser? I would like "The Orb" to be under "O", and not "T".

Sorry if this has already been done to death, but searching "The" just isn't doing it for me, lol.

 

Not that I know.

You may have to rename all the files individually.

But don`t take my word for it.

 

Do you really need to sort them, just search for ORB in the search engine. Or maybe you are just as crazy as me and like to have everyting in PERFECT order

 

you could rename the files from one artist all at once:

choose all files with "The Orb" > rightclick > edit > change into Orb > apply

I'm going to move this into feature requests because it could become a filter option down the road.

I got sick of having to manage both iTunes and Traktor libraries, so I ditched iTunes and bought Airfoil for my wireless home listening. My other complaints about the Traktor Browser are:

-No field for disc number? (I've have to re-track-number al of my disc 2s)

-No support for basic OSX text field behavior (e.g., pressing up taking you to the beginning, pressing down takes you to the end)

-Enter button not working unless tabbed to.

The last two are pretty much standards in terms of interface design on a Mac and I'd love to seem them implemented in the not so distant future
