I might be blind or whatever but I'm having a horrible time finding someone with the same issue. I'm guessing thats because I don't understand the channeling on MIDI mapping or something... and I've read the manual, online guides etc but can't find anything.

    So the facts:

    Issue:
Multiple MIDI controllers for Traktor Pro. Buttons on one MIDI controller are the same as buttons on the other MIDI controller, according to traktor. e.g. When I map 'loop' to 'loop' on my stealth control, its also a random note on the keyboard.

    Controllers:
    Numark Stealth Control
    AKAI MPK49

    Computer details:
    Vista
    4g Ram
    Quad Core

    Notes:
Both MIDI controllers are identified in Traktor as MIDI inputs (the MPK49 has 3 slots if that matters) and MIDI outputs.

My thanks to anyone who has any ideas...

Im a supernoob with midi things and steer clear from anything that is not ready mapped so might be im out skiing on this.

Anyhow, i strongly suspect its because both the controller as well as the keyboard send the same midi note, if you can change the midi note for the controller then everything should be fine. There should be midi mappers for the keyboard as well as the stealth control, im most sure.

Edit add: As a side note i might add that the internet is really a huge place... god have mercy on your soul if you asked help in /b/...

I think I've narrowed down the issue to MIDI channeling...
both controllers are in the 'common' channel...
I have no idea how to move one to another one.

I appreciate your idea, and I think it would work, however i"d rather avoid remapping the entire keyboard, I think that would create problems with other programs like FL Studio ( which I also use). It would think the pitch nob was middle C etc.

    Thanks though

Lol...which internets did you search? hahaha

Anyway...uhm...yeah...sometimes people post their exact products: Models, Manufacturers, etc. Without exactly knowing what you have, I would suggest you see if one of your controllers has a configuration program, or a built-in ability, to change the channel that it's sending on.

    Ha ha!
Thanks for your patient help chilly. I was just nervous because I felt like it was the kind of noob question that every one asked yet I couldn't find anything on it. I didn't want my first forum post to be flamed with abuse.

I found a way to change global settings on the MPK49 which fixed everything. You were entirely correct, it was as simple as a flick of a switch.

Thank you kindly for your assistance guys.
