    Maschine Mikro
I just got one and I'm trying to find out info about it before I get home and hook it up.

Does it run with something like fruitloops or Ableton live?

Or is it only the komplete software that comes with it?

Also, can I play something on it and record it while I'm playing it or is it all sample segments?

Any other helpful info about this would be great
seems to be pretty hard to find on the internet

Thank you very much in advance

The software will run standalone or can be used as a plugin in programs like Ableton Live.

There's plenty of info on the internet about maschine and mikro, youtube is good for tutorials and showcasing what each does.

Can't believe you went out and bought something like the Mikro on a whim though without even finding what it is or what it does!
    - Did you shoplift it? ;)

My cousin owns one and I watched plenty of videos on youtube about it. None of them, however, are really helping me with trying to interface it with stuff like Ableton or FL studios.

I would be interested to find a thread about that so I can read up before I get home.
I really like the way this is set up, now I just gotta figure out how to use it
    muhuahaha

i suggest you learn a bit about Maschine in Standalone Mode before you try it in Ableton or FL.

if you want to learn some great ways of using Maschine in Ableton, then sign up to mashinetutorials.com.

Strangely, we do see a lot of impulse buyers who get a Maschine without even knowing much about it - I have no idea how people can be like that with their money. Maybe you are just taking the piss and trolling us for a laugh?

Regardless - Maschine is a very capable piece of hardware and has a great manual and a hardware reference guide. A couple reads through these documents is a good idea. You'll get much further making music if you get used to doing some study of the tools on your own - and I don't mean coming to the forum to be spoon fed information about the 'unknown thing' you just bought.

I am not trying to be unfriendly, but think about this from our perspective - you want us to tell you about Maschine - imagine if your neighbor walked up and said - "tell me about this laptop I just bought" because you had a similar one? That would be ridiculous right?

So, with the nicest intentions I can muster: "READ THE @!#$! MANUAL!"

Well, you do sound like a complete ass.
Not to mention, if anyone asked me about something, and I obviously knew more than they did, I would answer them hands down and make sure they understood.

So once again, I know quite a bit about this as is, but I'm trying to find out specifics and if anyone had actual interaction with the programs I wanna use as well.

Also, I didn't buy this, and even if I did, 300 bucks is not that much so regardless of if it was an impulse buy or not, you could just simply not post here and take your garbage attitude else where.

    Cheers

    /edit

Not to mention, why the heck make a forum if you're just gonna QQ about people asking for help?

    okay lets chill here.

it is assumed that when people buy maschine and want to use it in their DAW that they are familiar with loading plugins into their DAW. there are quite a few Ableton users here but far fewer FL users.

MyTotoro, you don't say how much knowledge you have regarding Ableton and FL so it is difficult to gauge what you want to know.

i would say, wait until you get home, spend some time getting to understand how Maschine works in Standalone Mode and then start to use in in Ableton and/or FL.

Like I said, I planned on this, but I am trying to get a quick understanding seeing as I am still out of town and can't do this yet.

    Thanks again for your help.

The link below is just one of many Youtube vids that shows how to use your Maschine in FL Studio. I agree with what others have said. You should learn how to use Maschine/Mikro in standalone mode first before combining it with something else. I'm new to both FL Studio & Maschine so my plan is to learn Maschine first and hopefully I can drag my finished product to FL Studio. If that's not possible then I'll just stick with Maschine.
