I've been mixing records and CDs for years. I decided, today, that I would go pick up the TS A6 box and get an X1 at GuitarCenter, since it is nearby. They said both products are DISCONTINUED. Is it normal for GC to discontinue such items or would it be wise to wait for some unannounced product update?

Also, does the X1 offer enough functions to help keep me from messing about on my laptop?

    Thanks

I have older CDJs, 1200s and several mixers.. I want to use DVS but I would rather not keep touching the
laptop, I want to control the software through a controller, just not sure if the X1 will get me there, I think it will just not sure..

I've been reading a lot of people complaining about stability and lack of needed updates. This makes me want to possibly hold out a while and see what Rekordbox DJ is working with, though it is brand new and info is hard to find. I guess this is something to think about.
