    big improvement

wouldve paid another $10, $20, for a piano roll, but this is at least usable now. Step sequencers great..as are the scales and chords...expansion deal is brilliant

Oh and thank you NI for letting V2 read the user library of V1 So I don't have to reimport the gig plus folder of my own sounds.
    Awesome!

Bit of a lag getting into menus but still testing out.

yes there is definitely a lag similar to the one fixed previously when entering the sample search menu. Anyone else seeing this or is it just me? Really digging the update so far though.

I wonder if iMaschine 1 will still receive compatibility updates.
definitely not happy about this. would have understood if NI were a small company that needs the bucks.
there are many other iOS developer, that deliver HUGE updates to their apps at no extra charge.
But I don't want to complain anymore. life goes on and I also use other apps.

Anyone try importing to Maschine 2 yet? I'm only able to import a sample version of an imaschine 2 project instead of it separating my groups and instruments like it usually does. Wondering if it's only me or a software issue....

Aside from that though this thing great. Was on it for like 3 hours straight yesterday after work, haha. Good deal for all the expansion packs too.....

I'm going to have one less pint of beer tonight. That will pay for iMaschine 2 and 36 expansions ;)

I didn´t like iMaschine (old version) very much.
But now with the new features it could be great for me!
I downloaded it. 6€ for app and 36 expansions was not really expansive :D.
    Perfect for sketches.

Anyone tried to export things into Maschine 2.x software?
    Can you export patterns?

    Hi.
I want to buy iMaschine 2, but unfortunately I dont have the Maschine hardware to export projects into PC/Mac NI Maschine software.

My question is: "I can export patterns or songs from "iMaschine 2" to eny DAW in standard .Wav audio format or to use on any platform?

    Thank you for your answers!

you cannot ,expect if you export your to Maschine on your computer first . then you can .
or you export to soundcloud and then download it on you computer .(the easyest i think)

Okay, so I have had the chance to "play" with this new "version" of iMaschine and I will gladly give my $0.02 on it.

Let's go through the good and the bad.

    The Good.
    - Step Sequencer
    - Smart Play Keyboard (Chord/Scales/Arpeggiator)
    - "Song Mode" Arranger
    - 3D Touch optimized
    - Colours (sure, I guess)

    The Bad
    - No Bluetooth support for audio
    - No MIDI support
    - No external controller support
    - No IAA or Audiobus support
    - No Link support
    - No sample chopping support (multiple "chops")
    - Limited FX (Shared between all instruments at 2 per)
    - No Automation
-....... I could go on, but most of you either "get the idea" or will continue to use the "sketch pad" excuse

So, that being said, my question is: Why was it necessary to make this a hole new app?? All of the additions above could've easily been included as an update to the existing iMaschine app. I can spend the rest of this reply going into how many music apps made MORE SIGNIFICANT changes/updates to their apps without rebranding it and charging users for it, but I'm sure most of you iOS music makers reading this will already know and agree.

The only reasoning I can come up with for this is they had a new team build the app from the ground up because something happened to the old one and they to recoup the cost for redevelopment.

Either way, it is a WEAK EXCUSE of a 2.0. All of the new "enhancements" should have been an upgrade, which would have made more sense and showed that NI cared about their iOS community for offering nothing more than expansions for the last two years.

We basically paid for updates we should have had a long time ago.

Congrats NI, you got another $7 out of me for something I will never use. Way to go.
