Imaschine crashing all the time

I was delighted to see iMaschine and for a while I loved it. Then it started crashing. Today it crashed heaps of times even when it was the only app open.


Anyone have any suggestions? Can I remove it and put it back on from iTunes or will I lose my projects and the swagger pack that I bought.

At the moment it's looking like $8 for nothing but it's a great fun app if they fix it.

When was the last time you hard-powered your phone or iPod down?

I haven't had this happen with me yet, but I did have loads of problems with Synthstation before I realized I needed to occasionally hard power my iPod down. After I started doing that, I never had any problems with it.

Thanks for replying. Embarrassed to see that I put my question on the wrong forum. Well I tried tunring the whole gadget off and not just putting it to sleep. Is that what you mean by hard powering. I don't know the term. Actually after one try it still seems to do that. One thing I have wondered is, when I open the little quatize window for choosing 1/8 or 1/16ths and all that, if I leave it open, the beats repeat at that rate as long as they're held down. I do that when I play beats but is that really intended to be done or is it just a delicious glitch of the program. I wish it didn't crash if that what makes it happen as it just makes it repeat like an appegiator would on each individual key. Makes for much fun. It would be nice if that option were there while having the option of changing kits on the fly too. Is there an official way of suggesting this stuff to the development team or do they just read our posts.

Thanks for you suggestion anyway. Maybe it will work if I power down more often. Can't remember actually when I did it last, but so far imaschine is the one app that consistently crashes.

Hold the power button down 'til the slider comes back up. Then slide it across to turn it off. That's what I meant!

I don't know that it will work for this or not, though. I'd just try it.

Cool that you're diggin' it and have found a glitch that you can use. I haven't come up with that one yet.

Thanks for the help. It is nice to find something which may not have been intended but at the moment the app crashed still whether I do the 'automatic' thing by leaving the quantize button open or not.

I still don't really know how or if I can take imaschine off my iphone but put it back on from itunes. Does that work or will it be taken of off itunes too? Also if it works, will swagger, the kits and instruments pack extra that I bought have been backed up on itunes or will that disappear.
