I can add minimal samples and fx without it crashing an iPad (v1). How are iPhones handling it, am I the exception here?

You're completely missing the point to be comparing iMaschine to apps like NanoStudio and Beatmaker2.

    ^ This.

    Chopping App.

How about using Beat Twirl to chop. The updated version allows you to access files in Dropbox and it supports copy/paste, and works with all the songs in your Iphone/Ipad's Itunes library.

    Is this a spambot? :S

On the subject of iMaschine I think it's a brilliant app and now that I have a full maschine (which I bought because iMaschine really turned me onto the workflow) the integration is awesome. The expansions are really decently priced too, i've bought all of them.

The only bad thing I have to say is that it does have stability issues with iOS5 and when it crashes fairly often and you're making music there's been a fair bit of lost work which can be really frustrating. Hoping for an update soon.

Actually, forgive the double post but I think if there was one thing I could suggest even just a limited number of extra patterns or a scene system that would be absolutely excellent and i'm sure the power of the latest iphone is more than capable of handling a bit more to this app.

I found that if I stopped playing what I was working on while browsing for sounds I got a lot less random crashes.

I hope that they will do an iMassive to run along with the iMaschine

the iMachine looks like a fun scetch pad to use in the bus. I have Nano Studio, but to be honest I haven't been using it a lot lately. IMaschine looks that it is more suited for quick on-the-go creation. NS takes too damn much of pinching, zooming and losing my temper

I'm going to give it a go.
