Hey Everyone, How does it work? If you have an expansion pack in iMaschine that you don't yet have in your Maschine software and you transfer the project to Maschine. Will you still have the correct sounds? Also, is it possible to copy your expansion packs from Maschine to iMaschine? Thanks in advance. Ed
Yes, you'll still have all of the correct sounds, as well as tempo, mix levels, pattern length, etc. Basically, when you go to File -> Export in iMaschine, you'll have the option to export a project for Maschine. This will create a ZIP archive that contains an iMaschine project file, as well as folders with WAV files of every sound used. When you open the iMpj file in Maschine, each of your four instruments will be assigned to a different group. Pad instruments will have each pad sound assigned to the corresponding pad, key instruments will be assigned to another group's first pad in keyboard mode. I'm not sure about copying expansion packs, although I would definitely love to be able to import my iMaschine expansions into Maschine. Going from Maschine to iMaschine is a little easier, though -- I'm pretty sure you just add WAV samples from your computer to your iMaschine library in iTunes.

Hi. I would also be interested in this. I bought a few expansions i use with Maschine Mikro. I have been looking at the idea of using iPad w/iMaschine to work more portable. Will the examples work across both products?
You can use all your iMaschine sounds in Maschine.. But they are only 16 but ( if you care) and of course they Maschine expansions come with a ton more content... You can even make an iMaschine project with just sounds... Then open that in Maschine and individually save those kits (groups) in your user library... I think I've used a few of those Raw works sounds.. Which aren't available in a full Maschine expansion... Yes your iMaschine projects will move quite nicely to Maschine ( though you do have to go through iTunes). However it doesn't work in the other direction.. (From Maschine to iMaschine)
