Ok so I have done a fresh install of Windows 10 in my Traktor Laptop and am wanting to import my collection to this fresh new install. I tested this on Windows 10 when I upgraded my Laptop and reinstalled Traktor 2.8.x the other day. I was able to import my collection fine on this version.

Since then I have formatted it completely and then reinstalled again, but since then 2.9 had been released. Now when I try to import my collection If I select Traktor Tags it hangs at the start of the import. If I select Track Tags it hangs at the end of the import.

This is very annoying as I would like to import my nice pristine collection that I exported and not have to add everything again and have all my tracks out of order etc.

    Hi KB,

I experienced the same issue. The option "import from another collection" just didn't work. Normally with updates to new versions, a window appeared in which Traktor asked if the collection of the previous version should be imported. This was even "recommended". And I always used this option with upgrades.

I did find the following solution to retrieve my collection and playlists in version 2.9.0:
    1. In version 2.9.0 I changed the root directory in file management to the directory of the previous version 2.8.1
    2. I restarted Traktor 2.9.0
    3. Now my collection and playlists were available from the previous version 2.8.1.
    4. I closed Traktor and the collection was saved automatically in the directory of version 2.9.0
    5. I opened Traktor again and changed the root directory in file management to the 2.9.0 directory
    6. I restarted Traktor and now the collection and all my playlists are present!

Hopes this works for you as well.
