Is it possible to import presets from GR3 to GR5?
It should be possible, maybe there's some info about it in the manual, I don't remember off-hand.
I still do not know how to do that
May I ask first what the file extension is? For example, is the file extension ".bnk"?
I am not sure I would need to install it first, I need to create a virtual machine to get the files if it is possible.
I am a bit confused here...do you not have any GR3 presets?
I installed GR3 and all that I found were .bnk files.

I have GR3 on Komplete 5, they are all on CDs, I cannot get GR3 to function on Windows 10 but I made songs with GR3 and was wondering if the same effects are available on GR5 or if I need to start over. The only other way I can think of is to create a virtual machine within Windows 10 of Windows 7 then install Komplete 5. After installing Komplete 5 I need to go to the directory and get those ".bnk" files. If I go through all this trouble will it be worth it? Is there a way to get those effects on GR5? I do not remember the names of the files used to make GR3 effects. I was never able to save the effects to an external drive for each music project so it seems I need to have the entire program installed.
Everything GR3 had is in GR5 as well, IIRC.
You should be able to install GR3 on W10, though. I have older NI stuff than that (Pro-53) working just fine on it. Did you try to run the installer for GR3 in W7 compatibility mode?
As EvilDragon stated, "You should be able to install GR3 on W10, though." ...I just did and all is f.i.n.e"
Ensure that you have installed GR3 as an Administrator, that you have indeed used "compatibility mode", and that are using Administrative rights for the shortcut.
GR3 - apparently, does not permit the exporting of single presets...only banks...even if that bank has only one presets contained within that bank.
Therefore, to import a GR3 preset - or bank, you can perform this operation via a "drag'n-drop" - as indeed you can perform with any import operation in GR5.
I am not sure what I might have been doing wrong but I have tried installing it a few different ways on Windows 10 and the plugins will not load.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I am just going to move on and start over.
First off, does the standalone version work? If not, then secondly, the plug-ins - more-than-likely, will not either.
No they do not
So, neither the standalone nor the plugins work then?
