Import playlists w/ backup collection

Hi. I had an issue with my collection being invalid after a character issue in the metadeta of a couple of tracks. Traktor created a new collection and I had to rescan and recheck consistency in my library. I then tried to import various backup collections that predated the problem and while they all worked in importing my library, none of them included my playlists. As far as I'm aware playlist information is saved to the collection file, so I'm not entirely sure what the problem is here. If anyone could clue me in it would be appreciated.
