    Hi,

I had to check this out because I wasn't sure at first. You will need to purchase the Traktor Scratch certified upgrade package which comes with everything except the Audio 8 DJ.

Yeah i was looking at this earlier . The package doesnt include the muliticores and if im right (hope im not to be honest) they will cost another 60eur. That tots up the price a bit to 359eur which for the life of me makes no sense .

Surely the package should include the multicores. This means you are paying 359eur for DVS plug-in 2xcds/2xvinyl.
And the package is useles without mulitcores.

The crossgrade costs 499eur which works out only 140eur more . The audio8 cost 399eur not 140eur.

That might not be the most eloquent explanation but i think the costing is wrong. Which ever way you slice it , it dont add up.

If im getting this wrong someone say.

There is a deficiency in the packaging. I was reviewing the information the other day.

A certified mixer does not require multi-cores but the Audio 8 DJ does.

So there is a problem there. They need to provide a multi-core coupon or something for Audio 8 owners.

Yeah that its right there, provision for Audio8 users.
I fear that certified mixer users may feel they are getting less product for their money (well some picky people would) so would that necessitate 2 different prices, a cheaper one for Certified Mixer users.
    Can open, worms everywhere teehee.

    Thanks...
    Is too expensive
    I have just pay for Audio8 (380) + Upgrade Traktor 3 (99,00) + Upgrade Traktor Pro (99,00) = 578!
....If I will upgrade for traktor scratch Pro another 299..(877 Total)..In this moment is not for me ;-)

    Sigh sigh sigh....

What about selling this all and start from new with the "real" Traktor Scratch Pro Package? Might be a good deal, at least better than upgrading ... ;)

    Greetings,

    Andreas.

troy , i agree with you . I personally thing that it is wrong that you cant get some kind of deal to get you into DVS. You have clearly supported the product and spent a lot of money with NI. You should be able to buy the Timecode/multicores and the DVS plug in to supplement your setup at a much cheaper price.

The DVS plug-in should not be so expensive. Now that there is only one program, Traktor PRO, the DVS option should just be the extra hardware and maybe a small charge for the plug-in not 359eur(inc cables).

Just my opinion on fair pricing.

I'd say call NI sales on the phone on Monday, explain the situation to them and see what they'll do for you. If nothing then get in touch with myself or Quartz an d we'll try tackling it on our side, you have to give it a go on your side first so we have something to push though.
