    Hi all,

I have a small issue with my huge exs/ akai sample library which I imported in Kontakt 3.
I added the folders with my exs/akai stuff in the database of K3 succesfully.
but when i load an instrument it keeps looking for a folder where the samples used to be on my old g5.
I can t discover how to make Kontakt immediately see the new location of the samples. They are in the database though. Clicking on search in filesystem makes Kontakt find the samples easily but not when i click "search in database".
What to do? I want to get rid of having to assist kontakt find the smaples manually.

    tips are very much appreciated.

If use use batch resave it will find and use the new sample path. That or try to rebuild the database Also if you go to options and check the option to automatically add loaded / saved samples to database it will save them when you inport or build instruments.

    thnx for ur input. solacerodgers
when i select batch resave kontakt is giving a severe warning that i should only select this tool when i know excactly what i am doing.....like something very drastic will happen with my database.
mmmm i have to admit that i do not excactly know what batch resave will do. what could happen?
can anyone confirm that i can safely use batch resave? ( sorry solace no offense)

Its cool no offense taken I would probally ask for a second opinion as well. In the manual it is described as a option that will go through all instruments that you tell it too find the samples it uses and resaves the instruments automatically. It's the best way to make sure you are saving the samples with the instrument's. Double check your manual if your not sure but the warning just is there to let you know that you are about to move the original samples to the new destination ( why it does not just say this I dont know )
