Anyone know how the scale/arp compare to cubase 8's chord pad??

 

at the moment the arp is rather lame! However they will be adding an arp editor at some point which will make it very powerful.

The scale functionality is awesome, but will be even better whne it works with non-komplete software.

 

Would also like a white version of the Kontrol S-series, just like they have one for the Maschine.

 

Wish they could add feature like you can use template when you are not connect to a computer (in the case like connect to an iPad)

And add page for template of course, then it will be ultimate controller for iPad lol

 

I hope mods can make this thread sticky or create Feature Suggestions sticky folder.

1. I hope for improved browsing. We had 8 knobs and screens it would be great to browse using them – would be great not to have to look at computer screen during browsing. It's quite nice done in Maschine, hope it can be adapted to KK too.
2. External midi support. Didn't try that yet but asaik you cannot control hardware using midi in/out.
3. There is a user directory in browser but i don't see any user patches there – is there something I'm missing? I know I can add a path to user directories but there are default paths for user created patches for every NI synth – would be great to see them as default.

 

No where even close. Cubase 8 has circle of 5ths, much more advanced. Personally I don't even see the point of adding the chord feature if it's not deeply implemented.

 

KK software: please

1. resizable windows,
2. faves and/or rating check boxes in list view
3. expand the results list box to 30 or 40 lines - working/scrolling in a box with 8 or 9 lines is crazy.
4. Auto save any sound that is called up and tweaked via the knobs.. with a reset to factory option should the use ever want to change it back or get lost.
5. Get a graphic designer to rework the interface - many of your plug ins are stunning the KK shell is not even close.

 

The first 3 yes but autosave is a very bad idea. Also I like the interface, simple NI stylings and doesn't detract from the plugin.

 

4. Be able to use envelopes, wave shapes for the mod strip behavior.

The missing option for full screen is the most important update needed besides custom Native Maps. Just a short example ... who was responsible for this stupid idea to put echo instead of delay in the Kontour mapping ... adjusting delay time to BPM with the mouse is pure pain

 

Add to the list: Ability to work with non-NI VSTs. Other keyboard controllers do this, so it's time for NI to up its game.

I'm with you in part; I don't want to save "over" a preset that I'm just playing around with.

There would be nothing wrong with autosave if the autosaves were sent to a special folder or "bucket" for future retrieval. But autosaves probably need to be cleaned up once in awhile, like if they get 30 days old. So auto deletion.

WANTED: Change the default installation directory of VST plug-ins without breaking the functionality of the Komplete Kontrol software.

By default, VST plug-ins are placed in the root of the VST plug-ins folder (on Mac: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST) during installation of the Komplete software. I would like to organize the VST plug-ins folder. Ideally I'd like all Native Instruments' VSTs to be moved to "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Native Instruments/" or something similar.

When I try to do this I break the functionality of the Komplete Kontrol software. Anytime I go to load a plug-in from within the Komplete Kontrol software I receive an error message that reads, "Could not load plug-in," though loading that plug-in outside of Komplete Kontrol works without hiccup. I tried searching this forum for a solution, but I realized that it's just not possible at this time.

 

I did that during installation, where I chose to install libraries and plugins on an external HDD ... works like a charm. If you change that after installation, it causes trouble. I would have guessed, that it's the same on OSX?

PS: The desired installation paths must exist before you run the installation and 32 & 64 bit plugins need to be installed in separate folders.

 

Transpose the keyboard by half-steps within the octave, preserving all relationships (i.e., nothing would change but the actual pitch) ... all my other keyboards have this (usually by pressing the octave keys simultaneously)

 

+1 for that you should be able to shift, and transpose by semitones. Thanks for the suggestion, Added to master list...
