A user can select plug-ins to hide in komplete kontrol

    1. A user clicks on 'files/preferences'
    2. under 'library', a user sees a 'hide' column with a checkbox next to each plug-in
    3. user clicks the 'hide' box next to "Abbey Road 60's" drummer
    4. user no longer sees "Abbey Road 60's drummer" in the komplete kontrol browser
    5. user is happy because komplete kontrol browser now contains only her favorite sounds and effects. no clutter!

A user can hide presets in komplete kontrol

    1. A user selects a synth preset on komplete kontrol hardware
    2. A user decides they never want to use that sound
    3. A user holds the shift button and sees "Hide" to the right of "set *"
    4. A user pushes the furtherest right white button while holding shift"
    5. now the preset only appears under a hidden tag in the komplete kontrol browser
    6. user is happy because komplete kontrol has only their favorite sounds, not 100's of sounds they never will use cluttering up the browsing experience

I own Komplete Kontrol 88 Mk II but for my second room I'd consider getting a MASCHINE MK 3 too if the MASCHINE controller also optionally could be used to control KOMPLETE KONTROL plugins.

This is where I'm using some other keyboard to enter MIDI but would still like to be able to browse and mod instruments in KK plugins.

Plus often its more ergonomic to use a control surface on my desktop instead of keyboard height. This has a lot to do with when one is using a keyboard and mouse.

to top this idea: hit Shift + Star = option to scroll encoder to choose which type of star (favourite) content you want to highlight.
For example I have 2 favourite (star) names: "Sweet" and "Implode universe with sound". When holding shift + pressing the star. I can then first scroll the encoder to choose which of these 2 groups I'd like to select.

Another important feature possibility for Maschine:
Record multiple sounds at the same time.
Currently I can only record 1 at a time, this pulls my Maschine project to Logic Pro as I can record multiple instruments at the same time there, though thats a long time MIDI data swapping. OR I have to record every part 1 by 1, takes its time too!
    Thank you!
    Example on Maschine MK3 encoders:
    PRESS SAMPLING:
you see input SOURCE and INPUT,
in this case I would add to the fourth encoder: MULTI: YES/NO
when you dial "yes" the screen changes like this:
you see SOURCE INPUT OUTPUT MULTI AMT => in this case it is the same as before:
Source (ext audio) Input (In 1L+R) Output (A1:S1) Multi Amt (1), and when hitting arrow to right you can twist the YES/NO and have the other recording options.
    BUT then:
When scrolling the Multi AMT to 2-3-4 or more, you add pages to the sampling screen:
each sampling screen has SOURCE INPUT OUTPUT and MULTI AMT (this one for when you accidentally added to many or to less)
In this case I would choose SOURCE(ext audio) Input(In 2L+R) Output(B2:S1) Multi Amt (2) as I wanted to record 2 pieces at the same time.

What happens: It records every part to its destined track, if I am happy with the recording, fine. If I record again I record a new take on every track. If I then want to dig deeper into changing my samples, I go to my specific track, hit sampling and start editing the part.

Cheers! Keep up the good work and soon a Merry Christmas too!

My wishes for the next hardware edition:

    - rewind and forward buttons to move the song position in the used DAW
    - a lightguide with LEDs in a better quality which don't fake color impressions by alternating the base colors

    I have one :D

In the KK sound browser, add a filter to filter for everything that is NOT a favorite, e.g. leaving only the unstarred in the patch browser.

Buying a NI S88 and questioning about a new model S88 MK3 and keyboard splitting in KKS.

I have had contact with your support about this subject on 08-01-2021
I want to buy a NI S88 and questioning about a new model S88 MK3 and keyboard splitting in KKS.

I already have a Maschine Studio, Jam, Komplete audio 6, S49 MK1 and de TRAKTOR KONTROL S8 with TRAKTOR PRO 3 and the KOMPLETE 13 ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S EDITION

Now I have and use an old M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 and want now to buy a Native Instruments S88 for Live perform with a Yamaha Genos keyboard and Roland Module and in the Studio with a computer and the Combination of the DAW’s Maschine and Fruity Loops with Komplete 13 collectors edition and other VST plugins.

I want to make use off keyboard splits (Zone) and groups.
1 Zone for left hand and 3 Zones for the right hand.
Where the 3 zones for the right hand have the same key range with separate midi channels.
Or 4 zones for the 2 hands with the 4 zones each a midi channel and with use of the full Keyboard and where you can turn the 4 zones separate on and off wile you play with a knob.. So you can play Piano with double Strings, a string assemble using different VST`s or the sounds of Vangelis and J.M. Jarre using 4 VST`s.
This is how I now use my M-audio Keystation 88 Pro connected to a Yamaha Genos on stage.
I can with 4 knob’s turn 4 zones and 3 groups on and of. (See Manuals on the end of this txt)
and then also the other MIDI-assignable 60 mm faders (9), rotary controllers (24) and buttons (22) controllers for volume and programs
Memory Dump via Sys Ex, 10 memory locations store all settings, Selective controller group recall and store, MIDI Out USB interface, 4 Zones for dividing up the keyboard and Wheels and pedals can be assigned differently for each Zone

I use this keyboard now 15 years and I need now a replacement for this one.
But I want to get a NI S88 and the problem with the keyboard S88 is that you can not make these adjustments in KKS midi. Not for standalone use or a little when using a computer with the KKS.
Only 4 zones with separated key zones

    Maybe useful.
I put the download address of the manuals' documentation for programming of the M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 midi under the text.
Some text from the manual for selecting and programming the zones I put here: HTTP of the manuals are under the TXT.

    Quote:
The Zone feature can be used to create up to four keyboards in one by splitting the keyboard into sections.
Using Zone Edit Mode, you can assign each zone an upper key limit and a lower key limit to specify which section of the keyboard should be assigned to a specific zone.
To learn more about this function please read the “Programming and Editing” section in the Advanced User Guide.
The Channel of a Zone The Zones of the Keystation Pro 88 can transmit data on different MIDI channels.
You may have up to 4 different zones enabled at a time.
Each range can be set to a different MIDI channel.
For instance, you can set a two-octave zone at the bottom for bass transmitting on MIDI channel 1, and a Rhodes keyboard in the upper octaves transmitting on MIDI channel 2.
To assign the channel of a Zone:
    1. Press the Global Channel button twice
    2. Press the Zone Select button (9), and select a Zone.
The LCD will flash the selected zone.
    3. Enter the channel number, “00” to “16,” for the Zone you selected by using the numeric keypad.

    Zone Range:
You can split the Keystation Pro 88 into a maximum of four Zones by limiting the range of each Zone.
Zones may be discrete areas of the keyboard, or they can overlap.
To change the range of Zone 1, press the ZONE RANGE button.
You will see “ZONE 1” flashing on the LCD, which indicates that you are editing Zone 1’s range.
Press the lowermost key on the keyboard, followed by the uppermost key.
Now Zone 1’s range covers the entire keyboard.
Alternatively, you may select two different keys to demarcate the Zone of your choice.
To learn more about this function please read the “Programming and Editing” section in the Advanced User Guide.

The Manuals of this keystation_pro_88 controller you find here for the MIDI implementations.

I hope this would be useful when you maybe want to try to make this possible on the keyboard and in the software.

    - dedicated volume knob on komplete kontrol. would help control volume of software independent of patch volume level.
    - VU meter on komplete kontrol screen

It's possible, as Super 8 R2 is VST3. I'd really like that to be 3rd party VST3 support, even if in beta to begin with.

Wow. I can't believe Resizable Interface isn't already in this list.
It baffles me that in this day and age ANY software has non-resizable windows.
Also, user selectable fonts and sizes. Another utterly baffling design choice, not allowing that.

I don't know who needs to hear this @ Native Instruments, but maybe if you added Multi-timbral Support for even YOUR OWN LINE OF SOUNDS AND CONTENT, you'd make Komplete Kontrol, a hell of alot better! Please don't tell me we're going to get to version 3, without support for Multitimbral Instrument support! I promise you many more sales if you do it..

    VST3.
Hope this is around the corner. I'm starting to get too many VSTs that after update is only VST3. Thanks Team NI!

Your probably right, and that's pretty sad of NI to sleep so long on a standard feature like a larger UI!

The Controller Editor doesn't seem to work with MKII keyboards. Please make it work again or create a new version.

The color black has been removed from the MIDI template maker in MKII. By assigning certain keys to the black color, you could see in an instant where your keyswitches were or anything else you wanted to spotlight. Please bring back the color black back!

    Thanks!

I believe this functionality was moved to within the KK application which you probably need to launch the standalone application.
