    1. Better user library browser. Ability to create folders of favourites.
    2. Ability to read aliases so user can create 'shortcuts' in finder and open in KK.
    3. Open plugin in additional/edit/full view by default. ie. Battery should load with its bottom half and Kontakt should load with the keyboard.

I just got an Arturia Keystep 37 to complement my live setup. One great feature of the Keystap (thanks to being inherently designed as a standalone MIDI controller), is that its arpeggiator / scale engine and even sequencer fully work without the need of any additional software. Besides getting rid of any overhead created by a wrapper like Komplete Kontrol, this means it is not limited to a small range of "compatible" software (in the case of KK, plugins that support NKS), but can be used on anything that accepts MIDI (and even CV) with these features. So for example, I can control Logic Pro's synths and instruments from the Keystep and have direct access to creative arpeggio's and sequences. This is impossible with the Komplete Kontrol. It would be awesome if Kompete Kontrol would gain similar functionality.

I used Komplete Kontrol for the first time two years ago (when I bought my S88 mk 2). My jaw dropped when I found that I could not turn off the key lights, and I scratched my head when I realised that the tiny plugin browser window could not get any bigger.
Now two years later I am going through my system again, and I am like, off course they have solved these absurdities (sorry, could not find a nicer word) by now. But no. Nothing seems to have happened. At all.

Komplete Kontrol browser needs to be improved so that you can search by Expansion as an "instrument" instead of having to go into each individual instrument used by the expansion to see the sounds. It is unbelievable that this has not yet been implemented.

8 faders (or touchstrips) for the next A and S keyboard series. To control the envelopes of all nks instruments. Really a big lack on current keyboards.

Now that I have 2 screens @4k: the size and resolution of screens are getting higher and higher and the size of Komplete Kontrol interface is getting smaller and smaller. I'm no IT-Specialist but is this connected to the lack of echnical implmentation of GUI-resizing and -scaling of the interface of Komplete Kontrol? I'm getting older and "blinder" and at the moment I'm afraid I will have to search my cellar for the "Gameboy Screen Magnifier". Any news I missed? If so you would make me very happy with a confirmation of this 2000-era-feature. ;-) (kind reminder after 2 years)

This is past the critical stage of an overdue feature.

I am fairly convinced there is a "logjam" of 3rd party Kontakt developers not wanting to bother with a VST2 approach to GUI resizing and they are waiting for NI to have Kontakt support VST3 so they can do the hard work of updating all the graphic resources and coding in the more efficient VST3 approach. They don't want to do parts of this hard work twice.

NI is supposedly in a late beta testing period for Kontakt supporting VST3... so maybe this "logjam" will break free soon.

It would be nice if NI would reveal some timetable on this.

Any plans on adding multi-rack feature to Komplete Kontrol like in Kontakt or is that too far a jump software/architecture wise to realize?

I know that getting anything manufactured these days is very difficult if not impossible. But is NI thinking of making an update to the S line?

But I already have a MK I, so I don't just want same-old/same-old for MK III (I don't consider the A series part of the S series' lineage, so I don't count it). Let's think about actually upgrading the hardware.

Basically, I'm looking for screens like the S MKII series, nice and big, but with the added ability to hook up a tablet screen (wirelessly) or big monitor (maybe via HDMI?) right onto the controller. Maybe it could have a slot for a tablet on the controller to add gestures and touch to the experience, and offer an HDMI port on the back so that people with a spare monitor laying around could maybe take advantage of that instead?

The powers that be here will tell you, to use your daw. Many users have requested this with the first version and still hasn't happened in years. Some here say they doubt it ever will. Knowing the pace @ which NI develops plugins, I'd agree.

    How about, instead of r
    1. Print midi for arp/chord function.
-So that we can use that functionality in DAW, External Hardware Synths, VST's.

I suggest, a Komplete Kontrol MIDI VST plugin that can be dropped on in front of any instrument plugin or external hardware and provides just the ARP/Scale controls of the Komplete Kontrol plugin, without any of the browsing/Hosting. That way you can can benefit from the arp/scale features of the keyboard for any instrument/vst and also it can be added after you have created yout

Can already be done but depends on the capability of the DAW.
    https://support.native-instruments....-the-KOMPLETE-KONTROL-Plug-in-in-Ableton-Live

Also allows Arp/Chord notes to be routed to any track with any instrument loaded so it is possible to also use with Ableton's own native instruments. Other DAWs also have methods of routing midi from the plugin.... except Logic I believe.

Its completely possible to use KK on a dedicated track without an instrument loaded (or just a dummy instrument with no sound) used to generate Arp/MIDI signals for other tracks

There is a way to do it in Logic but it requires use of a plugin host that works as a midi fx such as Plogue Bidule

I'm sure this has been mentioned many times elsewhere ...

but please..(AND QUICKLY!) ... now we have the ability to use EFFECT plugins in KK - allow the KOMPLETE KONTROL plugin to be used and hosted in a DAW **purely** as an EFFECT PLUGIN as well as instrument!

I am encountering many situations where I'd like to be able to use an NI effect like RAUM, CHORAL OR PHASIS ETC - in Ableton - but can only do so if its for an NKS instrument inside KK. I want - for example to be able to use KK effects such as RAUM - IN ABLETON to process something being hosted in Vienna Ensemble Pro and accessed via the VEP client plugin..

I would love to see a feature where you can save the entire channel strip ( instrument + effects) as a preset. Just saving patches is not cutting it.

Good day. I'm desperately missing two functions in Komplete Kontrol to filter out sounds that have some kind of arpegiator or other weird thing if I press a keyboard and I'm missing a filter that searches only for monophonic instruments or instruments that cannot be played polyphonic by intention.
Could you add this functionality in Komplete Kontrol so that it is possible to either filter for arpegiated sounds or for non-arpegiated sounds as well as for monophonic or polyphonic sounds?? I need this functionality when browsing for sounds at all. This would make it so much easier finding a patch. So far it sometimes drives me nuts when I'm looking for a non-arpegiated sound and a polyphonic sound and I find so many monophonic sounds and arpegiated/sequenced sounds among the others... Please add this filter possibility as one of the main filtering functions in Komplete Kontrol so that all corresponding sounds become categorizes as monophonic or polyphonic or arpegiated and non-arpegiated. Thanks!

Maybe you could add these filters to the CHARACTERS tab in Komplete Kontrol. As I figured out there is already an arpeggiated button as well as a Monophonic button. I desperately am missing the opposites though: Tags that allow me to filter all the non-monophonic (polyphonic) sounds and all the non-arpeggiated sounds and show me them as my search results. Can you implement such tags?

It's never a 100% given that all sounds that are mono are even tagged as such because sometimes there isn't available info to know since it could be a voice limit, osc limit etc that makes it mono.

For my NKS libraries this is why I created my own Arp/Sequence category for the 3rd party libraries and place ALL these under that tag so it keeps it all out of actual browsing tags. I personally hated scrolling through strings for a nice solid ensemble and hearing animated patterns constantly and logically figured Arp presets should be out on their own.

What NI really need to implement, which has been asked for half a decade now, is the ability to browse with "NOT" filtering so you can select sounds filters you want but then include some "Not" filters to remove a specific attribute / plugin / vendor from the search. One idea I had which wouldn't upset the layout of KK too much is have a "double click" function for tags which would highlight them as red which means they are excluded. Or a better solution would be just 1 extra accordion section under character tags where you could type in tags, plugins or vendors to exclude which would remain active until you reset it so you could switch sounds and such and not be bothered by plugins you don't want to use

Not sure if this has been requested, but would be nice for the Kontrol keyboard hardware to show corresponding mixer track colours for Cubase and supported DAW's as is currently seen with Maschine software.

I agree. Would be helpful to filter out selected tags instead of showing them... Would be helpful too if these "NOT filters" would remain too as (bundled) selection as long as I don't deactivate them (no matter if results are found or not). Incredible that NI has not integrated that functionality yet since people are asking for half a decade now...
