I can't find any issues using Renoise either. I can see all the libraries and switch easily between MIDI (Moog Minitaur) and a KK instance...

It seems, that DAWs, that don't use VST have more issues. But what astonishes me are the Cubase issues.

I hope they post a list of bugfixes. Whether I'll keep my K61 is going to depend on whether they fix the sticky sustain issue.

I wouldn't be astonished, if they don't post a bugfix list, but I'm pretty sure, that Kontrol 1.1 will not only contain new features, but also several bugfixes. It's more than obvious, that NI watches the forum and know, what we are missing what some of us are fighting with.

I guess NI fears the new Akai keyboard and competition is good for customers ;)

    This article ...
    http://www.native-instruments.com/d...-kontrol-s-series/future-of-komplete-kontrol/
... clearly shows, that NI want to push Kontrol-S and Komplete 1.1 will only be the first step. Third party VST support e.g. will follow later and who knows, what else they are planning and didn't annouce so far.

Whoever is unsure, if he/she wants to buy or even sell an already bought Kontrol-S, should wait 'til the end of summer in my opinion to avoid a decision, that might be regretted.

PS: And I'm pretty sure, that the new Akai will not be bug free and Akai don't have a good reputation regarding customer support. Time will tell, who the winner is, but one thing is sure, NI want to be the market leader.

I like the idea of being able to print the MIDI to a DAW, but PLEASE make it an option rather than something that always happens. When I'm starting a track or just messing around I like the simplicity of having a single note recorded in the DAW. When I'm further into a project I'd like to be able to print the notes (arps, chords etc) so I can tweak individual notes.

Melodic minor and its modes for the scales in the keyboards. It's essential for many genres of music.

My biggest hope was to be able to bookmark a patch i like. With a tagging system, this would be a simple no brainer of an update, sifting through 100,000 presets and not being able to bookmark is very counter productive. As far as the other updates, a help guide or manual addendum would be nice, the features usability is not immediately obvious.

I opened up izotope iris, and it doesn't seem to respond to scale/chords mode.

I've given up on the browsing menu...it's so counterintuitive. I've saved KK wrapped kontakt templates in edit view to go back to my organized quick load menus where I can save and tag. With no custom scales or arp....this keyboard has less functionality than my Roland Fantom from 1998. It's one thing to ask for a wrap for 3rdparty plugs...but they can't even get kontakt multi instrument channels right. Every keyboard I've ever bought has been exciting and motivating...this has been a nightmare, leaving me frustrated not allowing the creative process flow. If they don't even attempt to cover these few simple functions, I will not support there products with my $ anymore

I think the browsing menu is very effective. It has a cascading filter/tag system which really helps zero in on sound palettes. Without the ability to bookmark a particular preset though, its really all in vain given the scope we are working with.

I find myself struggling with the entire index each time I start on an idea. its so stifling. If I could bank presets that I like in the user nav I would really be happy!

Imagine being able to bookmark your favorites. then sharing those in the cloud under "themes"! Still waiting for NI to hire me for more brilliant ideas like this... lulz

whenever working with multi outs/multi channels I would bypass KK. You likely already realize this but I will post this in case others happen on this post.

I bought the S49 with Komplete 10 upgrade (after initially thinking of holding out for the Akai Advance). I
am very pleased with it, integration works well I think. Light guide and scale functions I thought would be a novelty but actually are really effective once you start using them.

Anyway here's things I would like done better:

    1) Better integration with Ableton Live Session view - currently only arrangement view really supported). I mean I want to be able to use the cursors on the keyboard to position myself into a channels empty clip space, and hit record on the keyboard and a clip is recorded. Would make the Ableton live workflow very fast being able to do this, I upgraded the Ableton live 9 for the 'advanced host integration' so was a bit disappointed to see the record button for instance only records direct to arrangement view.

    2) Proper support for Battery - I want to be able to adjust sample params similar to Polyplex i.e. vol, decay etc of each sound on a menu I can cycle through. There really should be better control of Battery if this is 'Komplete Kontrol!'

    3) More scales, or ability to load user scales

    thanks!
