yes, in midi mode (shift+instance) you can create layers in controller editor. but my question is other. i want to put my choice colour in the presets in my user list. i use ableton whit vst and i want to change the presets in browser. in the user list , i have my personal order and i want to use a personal colour in the presets no changing to midi mode . it's possible this? sorry for my english , i'm from spain

 

Wishes for a next generation Kontrol:

- Add a color display (including browser functionality) so that interacting with software becomes more like a 'hardware' experience
- Add touchpad
- Add an 88 key version to the line-up (doesn't have to be a balanced hammer type of action, the current keybed feels great albeit it is not very quiet, which brings me to the third wish)
- Put effort into making a quiet keybed (both black and white keys).
This is something which tends to be overlooked by most (not all) manufacturers, yet if you live in an apartment with neighbors on all sides a quiet keybed can make the difference between being able to work in peace rather than having to endure a neighbor banging on your wall because in a moment of inspiration 'you've been hammering again'.
- Add another row of knobs for easy direct additional function control
- Add more MIDI OUT ports for control of external modules

 

Komplete Kontrol is a CPU killer. Needs to be optimized and tweaked to use less CPU overhead.

 

Please please please, update the Kontrol App to allow the sound output on "Mac's Digital Output" in standalone mode.

I just purchased Ultimate and the Kontrol S61 for ease of browsing the library ( over $1k). I'm running Pro Tools 10 and Kontrol app isn't compatible with 32bit host apps. PT11 doesn't support my HD3 system, and running Kontrol standalone side by side with PT10, I can only choose Line out of the Mac which absolutely stinks.

On this side of the glass it would seem to be an easy enough update for Native Instruments.

FWIW- in standalone mode I can select the Digidesign 192/HD3 core audio outs, but then Pro Tools 10 will not be able to connect in this instance.

This update will allow me to run Kontrol App alongside PT10 for browsing/auditioning the library.

Kontrol is basically useless as software still, even in 1.2. Never mind the list of 30 tiny tweaks, it's the big stuff that is missing...

1. View and sort by plugin

It boggles that mind that we can't even SEE what plugin in each preset activates. This is particularly debilitating because when checking presets, it has to load a new plugin every single time, taking hours. It essentially renders the program slow, clumsy and useless. Kontrol is a necessary program, but at the moment doesn't fulfil basic useablity criteria.

2. Search multiple libraries

Super crude right now - search one library or all. That's it. About the only function it really has is in having tagged the reaktor library presets, but it's kind of useless even there because you can't simultaneously search them.

There are other wishes, but until those two are addressed it will stay unused for me.

I wood like to see a sequencer and mixer application to be implemented in the komplete kontrol application just like with machine?
This wood be a nice add-on to an already great control application.

No no no imo. Don't want NI spreading themselves out to thin. Want a sequencer that is what maschine is for.

 

If it's not today maybe tomorrow.

 

Could we see a "random" feature option on the arpeggiator? (Similar to the Jupiter 8)

 

If it's not been mentioned before then the navigation control knob on the KKS keyboards should become the program changer when in midi mode, I feel it would react more precisely when changing plugin sounds than what's available at the moment (see jpeg).
Also in the next FW update, when in DAW mode the eight control knobs could be used as fader controls, maybe EQ's also, they could follow the DAW fader settings via numerical & visual display on the keyboards knob displays. There could be banks of 1-8, 9-16, 17-24 etc using the left-right cursor buttons so the knobs match the DAW faders, depending on the track count.

Sorry to insist about what it has been already repeated here and there, but : the SEMITONE TRANSPOSE function is cruelly lacking !!!! Please, please, implement it ! Thanks in advance !

 

Bug fix: continuous damper signal not transmitted by keyboard. Switched from CC64 (sustain) on/off with a continuous control pedal (Yamaha FC3) to CC65 (portamento) with latest 1.2 Komplete Kontrol update. There is no ability to control half-pedalling from the keyboard at this point, something written into some NI instruments, e.g. Alicia's Keys. To have their flagship controller unable to address this functionality in their software is crazy.

 

White version of the hardware like the maschine studio.
