    Hi guys,

I have been DJing for some years now, I mainly play Hip Hop and would say I have decent mixing and scratching techniques. However, I feel I could need some help in improving my skills. In your opinion, what is the best online resource/school to learn Scratching online?

PS: Even better would be if it includes some Hip Hop mixing techniques and some Traktor tips, but these things are secondary; mainly, I am interested in improving my scratching.

Let me know what you think!

YouTube has many video on how to scratch. On a school, google it and find something that interest you.

learn to chirp, flair and then crab scratch :)

If you don't use it, you lose it, i used to be into turntablism and scratching now i mainly mix house, my head remembers how to scratch but my hands don't, as i'm out of practice, its all about muscle memory !!

YouTube is your best bet, but then again most the tutorials are kinda the same, It got to the point I got fed up with how basic most of them where, so I searched the web, came across 'school of scratch' an online membership, which actually sounded promising, emailed the owner back an fourth... Bottom line it was roughly £500 to join! No way was I doing that, So In the end I learned how the scratches worked like flares, whips, boomerangs, and practiced 2 hours after work everyday for a solid year! Combining scratches, recording myself, xfader fingers where bruised trying to get the crab scratch down. More you scratch the more your hands get really comfortable to the point you can think of a combo in your head and your hands will just do it without tensing up and going all over the place lol. Don't get me wrong, the mixer nearly went out the window a few times with how frustrating it got but I'm glad I kept it up
