This is about the much lamented inability to export to vst. I do not care about this option, though it would be nice, I do however want the ability to share beyond non-reaktor users. I realize this is my own problem but feel it to be an ever increasing problematic situation for NI. Max, Synthedit, etc., address this desire/concern, and are by my best deductions commercial competitors for NI. I remember a post by Sowari about being able to have something interactive on multiple machines for multiple players, and this has stuck with me. Also worth noting are the masses of musicians we have in our lives, as musicians ourselves, who we all surely have shown our homebrew toys to. They are always impressed and interested but at the retail price its a little much for alot of people I know. I'm not suggesting the price is high, I actually think it is the best money I have spent, I just know giving these people some version to play with would be beneficial to all involved. I would stand to benefit from more people being able to play my creations and do things like art installations. NI would gain more exposure for Reaktor and itself in general. Lastly these other people would gain a desire to buy Reaktor, in theory. Now granted I would be willing to compromise on the terms. Do not give anyone the ability to see what is going on in the structure, do not give access to a plug-in version (if so just bring Session back). Just something similar to the version of Limelite you gave away on a Computer Music magazine some time ago (with midi functionality though). Make it something we have to pay a little more for even. Not alot of course or its contradictory, but a little extra wouldn't be asking too much I suppose. I just know this issue comes up quite a bit. I know it is an issue for NI. This would keep the product competitive, give it more options as far as performance and art-type use goes, and give it a bigger audience in theory. Thanks.

Yes, that was said by many users already. Don't forget that this way Reaktor may rise in price as well, because many users will try to sell their instruments, which means Reaktor will become commercial software. But I will be more pleasured if there will be other features in new Reaktor that won't be in any of other software.

Its not in NI's favor. I've made the arguement for it several times myself as well.

    It's not gonna happen. Ever.

Would be cool though- not being able to do software for installations is a major reaktor drawback to me...

just seems as though they (NI) should do something to keep it competitive with things such as max and synthedit. plus i saw a pdf that was loaded to the UL that was all installation type art, that is what iam most interested in. Alex, I know this has been addressed by the community. Though it seems like its always vst export option, I'm trying to think outside of that. Le nain dans le jardin, I agree, Reaktor would have a larger following than I believe, but than again I believe the Federal Reserve destroyed America, so...
