    Hi Guys,

I'm so new to Traktor Scratch Pro that i haven't even received it yet, lol (its arriving tomorrow!)... i was just wondering, i have an Allen & Heath xone 62 and a xone 1D, what will i need to connect the 1D to the Audio 8 DJ sound card?
Will i replace the usb cable that comes with the 1D (for connecting to your computer) with a usb to midi, so that you connect the 1D straight into the Audio 8? Or does the 1D connect to my laptop as usual and then is picked up by TSP through my laptop?

Help would be much appreciated so i can buy the relevant cables asap, gasping to play around with it as i've been waiting 3 weeks for it now (distribution to the UK has had problems apparently?)

    Cheers!

    Welcome to the forum Alex.

The 1d is USB bus powered so that connection isnt an option. You will have to use the USB cable to your laptop. Theres no need to connect it to the Audio 8 as you can just use the usb.
The midi connections can be used to daisy chain other midi devices.
You just select the 1d as your midi interface in Preferences.

    I use the A&H 62. Its a great mixer.

Thanks Karlos, so i don't have to buy any additional cables, good news!
I imagine if i bought another 1D i would daisy chain it to the other via the midi connections, yes?

I'm new to the whole computer djing game as i've only ever used vinyl and cdj's... but it was definitely time to move on! There is a lot more to learn than i thought so i see a few weekends locked away in my house coming up in the near future! lol

thanks again for the help and yes... the Xone 62 is great IMO, i managed to get one for £500 on ebay brand new and think it is perfect for what i need and couldn't afford a 92 or higher... if it was good enough for Hawtin its good enough for me :) (minus the customisations of course)
