install on external drive

Can someone please explain to me how do I install on an external drive because I bought komplete 10 and I dont have enough room on my macs hard drive.. I tried to install it with the komplete downloader onto my drive that has 190 GB free and it started downloading but then when I had a look a bit later it says 'not enough room to install' ?? Im not sure how I do this.

Either choose a location with enough free disk space for the downloads (and enough additional free space for the installation if you're using the same drive for both). Or download the included products one by one (instead of selecting and downloading all products at the same time)

 

Hi Folks I'm in much the same boat and have just watched the video on installing to Mac from Ultimate hard drive. I have just received my K88 & Ultimate hard drive and assume it is best to get an external hard drive and do the lot in one hit. I have tried the downloadable software but gave up on it as a Komplete Joke. Download speed down to 5KB/sec.
Question is, Is there anything I need to download to do this installation or can I do the whole thing from the hard drive then update as required?
Kind of thought that was the point of the hard drive in the first place.
I intend getting a large hard drive as I figure any other sound files, updates, Komplete 11 etc, etc, will all want to go in the same place.
Am I on the right track with that?

Simply install everything you need from the K10U install-hard drive first. Then activate and update via Service Center.

The only things you need to download separately (Rounds, Kontour, Komplete Kontrol Software) can be found here:

Yes. Most of the disk space needed for K10 Ultimate is used up by the Battery and Kontakt Libraries.
