Just updated and now Traktor is really glitching, it was absolutely fine before, now it's almost unusable, i have a desktop and a laptop and the problem is the same on both. My desktop is a dual core Athlon with 2 gig RAM and my laptop is a dual core Intel with 3 gig, desktop is XP, laptop is Vista. Any ideas on what the problem is? I know my pc and laptop are powerful enough to run it, or at least they were before i updated, i've tried changing the latency and that improves it slightly but it still keep maxing out the 'load' bar every few seconds. Any help appreciated!

thats a good idea, i have done that as well as many members on the forums.

remember you do not have to uninstall anything, that you can use previous versions just by going into traktors directory, and look in the 'backup' folder.

Have you tried dissabling the multi-core option and restarting?
Works fine for me after I did that.

So is mutlicore support only going to be available for Mac users and certain PC users in the future? I would love to take advantage of my computer and use TSP2 to its full potential.

i've exactly the same problem. since 2.1.1 the load has exploded and it's totally unusable. even in idle, the CPU is at 60% load (was around 10% before) and when playing both decks it reaches 100% resulting in glitches, gaps. In other words: It's totally useless. i already disabled multi-core support but this didn't change anything. so what's the solution? Intel Core2Duo, 4G, Vista.

I just did a system restore in windows 7 and went back to the previous version of traktor 2

    everything works fine now.

2.11 features were glorious but it caused major audio drop outs and I couldnt fix them at all.

    boo.

traktor 2.1.1 reminds me so much of traktor 2.0.1.
Anyway a fix is on the from from NI and it will work after that.
Just sucks to have new features that don't work correctly.

2.1.1 is the best proof that "beta testing" and "final testing" is a lie.

a company which really does testing would have never released 2.1.1.

I had massive problems with 2.1.1 on my laptop and as you said it was unusable so i went back to 2.0.3 and its gonna stay that way until the next update is out and as it seems everyone isnt having a problem with it..

I too am patiently waiting on the new update. I cannot use 2.1.1 as it overloads the cpu and causes audio drop outs. I went back to 2.0.3 cause the processor is fine and stays at 10%, 20% max. I didnt uninstall 2.1.1 and im using 2.0.3 in the back up folder. The only thing that ive nticed so far is that at shut down my laptop crashes. Other than that 2.0.3 works fine.

very stange.. i cannot confirm its too buggy or even unusable.. dunno what went wrong in your case but i updated to the 2.1.1 on win7 without any glitch or problem.

Spinning with it every week for several hours on webradio and nearly every weekend in the club for about 7-8 hrs nonstop.

I recently installed T2 as well and have some issues (latency, tracks not analyzing upon start up, etc...). Can I use version 1.2.7 while I have T2 installed or will it cause issues?

Ok. I'm on an underpowered iMac, with a slow external usb drive as the system disk. 2.0.3 was working just fine nevertheless. Same problem as everyone with the new version.

Try this: Restart. Play a video in VLC (I'm not kidding you). You must hear the sound coming out of your soundcard, else change the default output in the System prefs. I only tried this with the built in output since I have no external soundcard. Launch T2 while the video is playing. Play a track in T2. Quit VLC.

Still got as many glitches as before? I don't, except when I'm hammering T2 to death, and those could be explained by my poor setup.

Also, tickling the 'Restore' button in the 'Audio setup' prefpane can help. This has the strange behavior of resetting the sampling rate and latency... Basically, try to hit that, quit Traktor, launch VLC, etc... Maybe throw a restart in there too.

Once this starts working, it keeps on working fine. Until it breaks, that is :D. Managed to get me some very good stretch of perfectly glitch free behavior this way. Then it did break after whatever I did fiddling around with Jack and AuLab. Then I managed to get it working again. Lives across a restart too.

Couldn't believe it was the fact that VLC was playing that helped, but after trying everything else I could think of, this was what made it happen. Don't ask me why, beats me.

Make sure that only VLC and T2 are running too, launching Safari glitched it all back to hell.

A good way to test for glitches seems to be turning on the effects of the main decks, and the TS of the sample decks. If it pops when you do that, you haven't gotten rid of the unwanted behavior. If it doesn't you're probably good to go.

And that sig is way out of date btw
