Installed the innofader pro in my z2

I don't know if anyone on here has done it yet but tonight i had one laying around from my old djm 400. It worked perfectly now I'm even more happy with the z2.

You know, I've already spoken my mind on that draconian policy of not letting End Users replace their own faders, so I won't get into that again. But, I think I may have found a way around it.....

If I should decide to get the Z2 (still undecided) and I find that I can't modify the existing faders to my liking, which will effectively force me to purchase and install at least (2) Innofader PnPs, I think I may be able to circumvent the NI warranty by purchasing my Z2 from:

I'm still not exactly sure how it works, but if it can be trusted at face value, than this might be a way to get the faders exactly how you want them, and keep your piece of mind regarding any potential mishaps that might occur in the future.

 

Can you post some more pictures or talk about the install. I have an Innofader Pro sitting around and I think I might buy a z2 to install it in. Did you move the mini-innofader to the line fader?

 

The mini innofadder unplugs and that plug goes into the vca port on the adapter. I bent the tensioners down in the upfaders so I just have the extra crossfader.

 

Actually, you guys should use the Innofader PNP for this. It's faster and easier, and a few bucks cheaper.

 

has anyone tryed original innofader in Z2? i got one spare and im pondering if i should replace the mini fader with that or do i need to buy innofader pnp

with original i mean first models before Pro and PNP versions.

 

I installed the original Innofader, works without problems.
But make sure you do the LED test first.
My connector was backwards, so i had to swap the outside wires.

 

ive been busy and just got the time to try this.. so do you mean the connector from mixer or which connector?

mixer connector to misc adapter (misc port) -> test adapter -> innofader and it gives red light.

 

DJ pl, are you on the original Innofader or the Innofader PNP?

 

its original with metallic/yellow dials to adjust so its the first ones i think
