Hello. I am blessed to be receiving Komplete4 next week. However, I currently own licenses to R5, ABSynth3, Kontakt 1.5, Spektral Delay, and Pro53. Since I previously paid for these licenses (Including having purchased a secondary license for R3 way back when), I have some questions about installing and registering software from Komplete4:

With R5, I am already updated to R5.12. Do I still need to install R5 from Komplete4 and re-register? Can I just skip installing R5?

With ABSynth3, will installing ABSynth4 from Komplete4 overwrite my ABSynth3 installation, or can I use both ABSynth 3&4?

After installing Kontakt2 from Komplete2, should I go ahead and remove the Kontakt 1.5 installation? Are there be any advantages to having both Kontakt1.5 and Kontakt2 installed on my system? (provided the Kontakt2 install does not overwrite 1.5).

I am updated to the most recent versions of Spektral Delay, and Pro53. Is there anything I need to know about having pre-exisiting installations of these programs when installing Komplete4?

    Thanks, Marc

    Hi Marc,

you can be sure that two major versions of the same product (e.g. Reaktor 4 and Reaktor 5) do not interfere with each other. The decision if you really need an older version to remain installed, depends on weather you still have a song where an older plugin version is used, or if you want to proceed to work with a library or parts of it not included in the latest version.
