    Hello
I have bought K9 Ultimate Upgrade, at the same time as a new computer (top spec MacBook Pro). I want this to be dedicated to just music software and run as efficiently as possible, so I am trying to start from scratch rather than migrate everything from my old computer. Is it possible to install my Ultimate package directly in the new computer without copying over Komplete 8 first?
    Thanks for your help!

Pretty sure it's based on logging into your account. It doesn't check to see if the older version is there first. So, don't bother.

You would NEVER want to attempt to "copy" over an old version from one computer to the other.

You can simply install K9 Ultimate without anything else on the computer. When you go to activate K9U via NI Service Center, the SC app will look online at your NI user account to make sure you have previously activated a qualifying product. In your case, SC will "see" that you previous activated K8 (some time in the past) and therefore will activate K9U.

All NI activations are based on the information in your NI account online and have nothing to do with what is physically on your computer.

    Your process would be:
    1) starting with nothing, run the K9U installer on your new computer
    2) activate K9U via NI service Center
    3) go to your NI user account online and download all of the K9U updates (there are a lot of them, primarily for Maschine)
    4) install all the updates.
