I really the "Calor humano" instrument in the circuit halo expansion,it's feel so lively and thick, but kind of sad a the same time,
i wonder if anyone got any idea of the effects used to make a synth sound like that ?

...I suppose it's the pitch drift. Even if you switch off the pitch modulations in the sampler, the sound is still drifting in pitch. So it was already sampled with the pitch being modulated (maybe from an analog synth or one mimicking its characteristics). Then you have a clean, soft sound - not harsh & distorted. As a very, very, very simple rule of thumb, if you look at the waveform - you can say, the "rounder" & "calm" (i.e. no abrupt changes) the wave is, it's more pleasant for the ear. So, with these characteristics the sound seems to be imitating the human voice (the name of the sound is human warmth, if I'm not mistaken) and the vintage synth vibe gives it a bit of a nostalgia feel. Whenever I browse through Circuit Halo I think, I'd like to watch Blade Runner again some day and I don't think that's a coincidence...
