Well this is strange. I had an old Pro tools setup and used Kore player and Kontakt player. I'm trying to transfer to a new setup using Logic on Mac and testing a few different Daws on Windows. I really want to finish a few projects on the new setup. I'm importing the midi and can still use my Kontakt P and Kore P. However it seems I can't save or reload instruments that I've edited from the stock instrument in Kore P -haven't tried Kontakt P yet-and more weirdly and importantly when I play the midi for a stock instrument (In this case Kore 'Mondlicher') it sounds really different in the other Daws. Not a completely different instrument but very different to what it was. Reaper seems to sound about right but Logic not even close and I'd really like to finish stuff in Logic. Any ideas..?
Could be a lot of things, like a bug in FM8. If I were you I would finish the instrument tracks in Pro Tools, print them to audio file and only mix the project in Logic or Reaper. You're wasting time by doing things twice.
Yes. ..I guess I was expecting to have to do that if all else failed but was hoping for a solution so I could have more control over the track in a more organic way. Changing parts of it on the fly etc. .. It's a messy transition to the newer setup but I guess there's no other way if it's not a problem anyone has a simple answer for. Thanks for the input anyway. I appreciate it. If anyone has experienced it and has any ideas please let me know. It would be nice to use some of those sounds again if nothing else.
