intel core i3/i5 (ice lake) cpu and traktor pro 3

I have old i7 and no prpblems. What about to set power management of CPU. so that it does not make problems....

The thing is that recent intels (current and past few years) are not very good CPUs. It might one of the reasons Apple went to Apple Silicon.
I would not blame NI, Intel pushed its CPUs towards/beyond technological limits, in helpless trials to keep pace of AMD.....
Intel CPUs are factory overclocked to maximum possible. They may give high CPU power, but just for short time untill they get too hot. Then the CPU power abruptly drops..... Try to limit CPU from super boosting.
Maybe try to start a new thread. Asking question how properly setup power management of MBP2020.
From what you describe, the problem is in power management setup for given CPU and not Traktor.

 

I still think that the traktor cannot load the new processors at 100%
Util is 50% max! The usual scenario is 15% (drops down to 2%!) what geting hot are you talking about? I was monitoring the temperature, it can be seen on the video and in normal scenarios it is 65-70c
This is a problem of NI software, besides, there are no problems anywhere except NI
MacOs does not allow to configure something in power management and it is not necessary, everything is perfect there when the software works correctly

 

stem tracks:

6cores/12threds
4decks all affects is on, limiter is on, cpu util is ONLY 12% MAX!

 

however, the situation of not being able to use all cores/threds is a big problem
that's why:
imagine this I changed the 4threds CPU to 8threds but low the base frequency
for example i5-7360u (2cores/4threds 2.3/TB3.6) to i5-8365U (4cores/8threds 1.6/TB4.1)
The base frequency is lower and plus we have half the usage (99%util vs 50%util or 30% vs 15% in normal scenario) plus for some reason 15% drop down to 4-2%!!!!
that's the reason for dropouts and freezs!
