    Hello guys.

Recently I've become a happy owner of ION Discover DJ controller. I've tried to map the device in Traktor Scratch Pro just like it's done in default program Cross-Discover DJ. And I'm quite happy with the results except for scratching. I've mapped the "Jog Scratch + Tempo Bend" option but I can't make "Scratch" option work properly.

Has anyone succeeded in this issue?
I'd be very grateful for any assistance!

PS: if it's interesting to some of you I can send my .tsi file on request.

Hello kirll.k and welcome to the forums.

I think the problem is that the “Scratch” button on you controller works differently that all the other buttons on your controller.

When you press “Scratch” it sends a continuous midi note and when you press it again it stops sending the midi signal so if you try to map it to toggle it won’t work properly.

If you want to make it a toggle switch you will have set the interaction mode for your mapping to “hold” instead of toggle. It took me a few days to figure it out.

The “Jog Scratch+Tempo bend” command alone won’t let you scratch unless you stop the track so you will need to map at least 4 more commands to get the scratch working properly like the program that came with your controller. Unfortunately I can’t remember exactly how to map it because I don’t have scratching mapped to my controller anymore.

    Hope this helps.

I have one that I mapped out.

I could not find one either to suite my needs. So I mapped one out. I will post it when I make a diagram to tell where everything is located. It took me a while to get the Jog Tempo part to work not the scratching part.

Ion Discover DJ Template for Traktor 2 - 2.0.3

Ion Discover DJ Template for Traktor 2. This is with complete diagram and .tsi. This may work with the Traktor Version 1 but have not tried. On the diagram on the left side, the Tempo Bend - Jog (Off) and the Scratch (On) should have a red box around it. I saw the mistake after I uploaded to the site. Here is the URl for mirror download.

Good job with your mapping deeveejay.

Here's something you can try if you like, that is mapping the treble knob to the filter instead. I find it more fun mixing with filters.

So i just picked up the ion for $40 and am trying to get it all figured out. the mapping works on tsp2. except i was only able to get the load track into deck work 1 time. after that it stopped. also, am i still able to map my keyboard to control other things (like the sample decks). i have never worked with midi before, so im just not sure.

You have to import the .tsi under control manager at the add tab and then going to import.

    More help needed

    Hey everyone...
I am trying to map my ion discover. I have downloaded the .tsi in the forums... I need help with the scratching. I do not want the button for scratching, but rather while the track plays I would like to be able to touch the turntable and scratch, let go, and it continues to play. I had this perfect on the old traktor 3 and have upgraded to pro 2 with nothing but frustration trying to do some good old fashioned scratching. Also, according to the menu there is a scratch on/off function that should be mappable, but I cannot find it in the transport menu, only scratch?

I'm trying the same thing but can find it in the controller manager in 2.1.3. Any help?
