iOS8 experiences

i have ipad4 128 gb version. It has 15% of the capacity used and a Z1.
I have the same issue with the mixes. It does not play over 30 min. This issue was what forced me to come to this forum and search for answers. What I discovered is that the mix itself is ok. When I extracted it to a pc then it was full length. I even tried to upload it straight to mixcloud from Ipad and the encoding crashed at the exact halfway point. I hope it gets fixed, but after reading about the audio 2 issue im not so sure anymore

first post, and although I too have experienced the dreaded loss of all cue points after each new IOS update, I just wanted to let the community know that I successfully got through a 3+ hour set last sunday with this exact setup. Ran into zero issues, but just a few retained blemishes from past versions of TDJ, for example:

1. the "sync BPM" is still not showing the correct BPM 100% of the time when loading a new track. Also, it should be easier to see a synced track's original BPM (perhaps when you touch the top-middle button to jog the BPM the original of each track could pop up)

2.the analyzations of these tracks compared with their Traktor Pro counterparts are very different, and it's not hard to see that the TDJ analyzations are quite off very often. I'm sure this has been brought up before, but why is this?

3. you can in fact play tracks with live instrumentation, but man do you have to be a tricky little f*ck.

 

Gutted updated my iPad 4 128gb to iOS 8 11 in the hope that it might make iPad a little more stable, although it had not ceased on me. Played out on sat night and it crashed three times. I've just got an iPhone 6 plus 128gb so should be ok once I've re grided all my tracks and set cues again but not happy. I understand NI can't reply to every customer but they at least send us a general message through the forum.

 

so iOS 8.1.1 is here. NI gets an another chance to get sound out from their own soundcard and to solve this tragicomical pathetic 3 months. if its not happening they should officially pull back the AUDIO2.

 

I have a non NI soundcard I used prior to iOS8 to connect my ipad/iphone via the camera connection kit, to my digital amp (toslink input only). This soundcard wouldn't work since iOS8, even playing music from the iOS music player.
Now since 8.1.1 the soundcard works again to play music from the iOS music player, but still not from Traktor DJ.
So maybe there is some hope that Apple has fixed something in the latest iOS and NI can do a tweak to the software now to fix the problem with the Audio2.

Giving the iPad 4 one last try! Updated my iMac and will re sync it to see if that improves anything, will set up my iPhone 6 as backup

 

so sad...add to all your soundcard problems, now i have another preblem that it only records 1 minute of my set! ... so wrong! does somebody knows the solution to this? ... also does someone knows of they fired Diegos or Karlos boss yet?

 

I was looking forward to get my new ipad and try the traktor on it but it seems my chances are quite low.....
Where are the times when NI was a bunch of really skilled coders and everything they released was not full of bugs and optimized?
Sad fact is that NI has transformed to the company going way of "not much buggy but mainly we have a new hw". This attitude is really disappointing moreover because when I visit any of the main areas of this forum for different products I own, all I find is people claiming that something is not working...
Why? There were not such issues in the past? What happened that you are releasing obviously malfunction software?

 

Same cue issue from the first video but using Z1. impossible to use at this moment.

 

What are your Quantize Size settings? And do you have Freeze on Load enabled?

 

...FYI... The Audio 2 issue will be fixed in the next update.

I'm on the Traktor DJ dev team in Los Angeles... We've made it a priority to fix this (TA2) issue. I know.

 

At least someone seems to care for the riot going on here because of the TA2 issue ...

 

Hi Dev team, good to hear from you, any chance to have this fix by the end of the year ? Will be great to rock it for the new year party ...

 

I can't go into release schedules, but the fix for the Audio 2 is currently being tested. Believe me, I'm tired of seeing the the iPad + TA2 FAIL pic floating around in the forum (although I think it's hella funny).

 

Seems that its only you and all the customers who does... :-D
But great to hear that someone cares!

 

do you think its funny? and you work for Native Isntruments? do you still have your job?

there is nothing funny about letting down your customers. we pay for your products ie we pay your salary. what is funny about selling unusable devices could you explain?

and also could you show your post to your boss? i guess you are the only one who is having fun

 

FWIW, I believe he was referring to the picture as funny, not the issue itself
