the only thing what is acceptable after almost 3 months of ignorance is "sorry", and this sentence: "sorry guys, here is the bugfix, thx for your trust"

I seriously doubt that this guy is from NI tho, they can't be this retards and arrogants. after 3 months of not showing any care to a well known issue what kind of company policy is to start writing funny messages to the users? we don't care about all this, NI shits on its community and user base, they made it clear in the last 3 months, now we don't need the "hey Mr Nice Guy is here and I'm listening" attitude...

Native Coconut if you are from NI pls contact your Berlin office and ask them to send me the fixed app, I'm happy to test it for you and I'm still offering my help if there is a fix. But I seriously doubt all these.

Nobody at NI takes this issue lightly and even though @Native Coconut's remark was a little misguided he did not mean to make light of a serious issue.

As a DJ and passionate believer in the mobile platform, I do apologize for the compatibility issues between the TA2 MK2 and iOS 8. Although I appreciate some of the humor in response to this matter, I also understand your frustrations, and in those I take personally in order to push out quality product. I assure you that we do take the issue seriously and fixing this issue is a top priority. I am a member of the Traktor DJ development team and it is my goal to improve the quality of this product. In fact, it is my job! I thought that engaging the TDJ community members directly would be a step in a positive direction in this matter and in the product overall.

We as a company care about this community!

 

I'm not flustrated, I just simply don't believe and can't accept the treatment what was given to us. A simple email would been able to solve the issue....

I, for one, would be happy to help test as well; I'm a TDJ advocate, a software engineer by trade, a dj for a decade+ years, and a TDJ user for 2 years, paired with a S2 for the past 6 months... I'm purchasing the latest iPad in about 2 weeks and one of the first things I'm going to do is install TDJ, so if testers are needed, please feel free to reach out; else, looking forward to an update in the near future.

 

Definitely positive! I, for my part, wouldn't mind seeing more NI developers (also for the other products) here on the board.
Ok, the feature suggestion section seems to be the hell of a mess, but at least when it comes to issues like the TA2 issue here, it really helps to start communication between the fan base, and the staff imo.

 

Bought TA2 in september. Played one gig with it. I just wish I had checked this forum beforehand.

To me this bug looks to be on iOS so I'm bit skeptical can this be fixed by NI.

 

Hi chipley , I have the latest ipad and tdj with s2 and z1 It works 98% fine so nothing to worry about there . However it's the new update in the pipeline that is the new wonder...

Why would I know who he was?

He was using a user name that was not an official @NI name. I don't have access to user accounts so I could not check his real name.

When I asked Native Coconut who he was he emailed me and revealed his identity. It turned out that we actually know each other from the TDJ Beta team and he is indeed an NI dev working in LA. We've actually known each other for a number of years.

Hope that clears things up.

This is true... It's not Karlos' fault... I went rogue and decided to engage the community directly. I'm working on setting up something more "official" soon.

 

I've contacted support about remix decks, 2 more decks or at least one more deck, more waveform color options and the ability for the app to do a auto mix from a play list like Traktor Pro. They said all these options are impossible on iOS devices. When I pointed out that all but the remix decks and 3 or 4 decks was being done in DJay2 they got really pissy and short. I even pointed out it would really be in their best interests to work out a deal with Beats much like the DJay2 Spotify intergration, because Djay2 is allready exceeding them in downloads, and has a better rating in the app store. Now that they have released a desktop version it will begin to eat away at Traktor's market share. You can't beat millions of available tracks that you don't have to store on your device, and all your meta data is saved!!!!

 

In NI's defense Apple has a long track record of changing the way things connect to iDevices when they update iOS. Apple doesn't give developers any heads up at all!!!! Which leads to peripherals not working and devs scrambeling to fix them or some never being able to connect again.

 

Oh thanx for this comment. It reminded me that Apple through iTunes is why the Dropbox metadata sync is broken. Like I said Apple has a long track record of throwing a monkey wrench into dev and peripheral manufacturers set ups. I promise you this is more Apple's fault than NI's

traktor dj ios8 + audio 2 mk2 i just got headphones signal the Main channel is not working for me too...
ihv just try with djay2 and there is no problem.

 

2015, happy new year ! My best wish on this forum, have a speedy resolution of this critical issue. Do you have any unofficial update native coconut ? When the fix will be posted to apple ? And how long it takes to be validated by apple ? I'm wondering if there is a firmware into Audio 2 mk2 what we can update ?

 

How did you get this to work? Lots of plugging in and out again and a bit of luck or is djay 2 + TA2 working constantly for you?
For me, there is no main output in djay 2, too.
