Wohoo! Awesome! Big question now: does it also work as a general-purpose 4-channel soundcard again?

I don't really understand this question, my AUDIO2 always worked with my laptop...

    Hello NI Staff!!!
Unfortunatelly due the absence of any reply from NI in last 6 months, I've decided to sold my little plastic box (Audio 2) and give my iPad to my daughter to play games. Once a year the iOS will have a new release and I don't want to have the same bad experience everytime. Tarktor DJ for iOS definitely is not a reliable DJ application. I can't loose time and money anymore in each new iOS release. In next two years I will read the reviews about Traktor DJ and iOS experiences and decide if I can try it again. Now I'll keeping the old and reliable Traktor Pro 2 Desktop.
    Good luck for all!

I recommend to all of you: Make an itunes backup of your iOS with the 1.6.2 now! Don't forget to include the apps into the backup (default is disabled). So many of us struggled in the past with TDJ as they forgot to backup at a time when they were happy with the TDJ version... you never know about the quality of the next update, so you should be prepared and keep the new 1.6.2.;)

Btw (the reason I prefer itunes): The iCloud backup does only make sense if you don't forget to disable after backup, otherwise the backup will be overwritten with any next version. And a last idea: If you spent time in cueing and gridding … don’t forget to backup your TDJ collection.nml too … before the next iOS update will erase all your work.

Geez, as far as I remember this was the very first time that an update of iOS caused major problems with Audio 2 (or any other NI hardware) for a not so short period of time ... yes, that shouldn't happen, and if it happens it certainly shouldn't last 6 months.
But none of this means that something like this will happen with every release of iOS ... I understand the frustration here, but we don't need to make it even worse than it already is, imo.

iOS 7 caused major issues as well, while all the other DJ apps avoided them, it is a pattern, not an isolated incident

I was asking concerning the iPad of course ;)
Did the update to TDJ include a firmware update for the AUDIO2 so that it also works in 3rd-party apps again or did NI only fix the problem by adapting TDJ itself?
