Is 2.5 OK to use at a Gig

    Been using Traktor for ages now, just wanting your views on if I should use 2.5 now in a live situation?

    I would not do it if i were you anyhow.
    I am sticking to 2.1.2 for now

    I've used it for a few weeks now and not had one problem with it live at any gig. Some have cliping sound but I havn't noticed it once myself. What you can do it upgrade and keep backup and try it out. read the traktor bible bug radar to see if any of those bugs will affect your workflow and if they happen with your setup.
    Only bug from the bug radar that has affected me is when having more then 1 beatmarker. But I know of that bug so I don't use beat synced FX with thoses songs and beatmatch by ear.

    Remember there are 1000's of differant configurated setups so what might be a problem for me setup might not be for yours.... Upgrate and try it

    where is the download for 2.1.2? i have a gig this weekend and cant have any Fups

    im using a dv6 also with i3 2.1 ghz .. im looking into swaping the processor for a t least an i5 with 2.5 ghz ... bc traktor suggests 2.4 .. how are you getting along with the 2.1.2 and the dv6?

    install traktor 2.5, use it a few days on your system and make yourself comfortable with it.
    if it runs as smooth as expected - go live. if not, not.

    simple as that :)

    p.s.: i'm live with it and loving it.

    Actually I am not using that laptop for Traktor anymore (its now my backup, but only has 2.1.1 installed). I bought early 2008 macbook pro on ebay for my DJ activities.

    I use Traktor out 4 nights a week so i never updrage to the latest version until all the issues and what not have been ironed out and it's been reported stable by a signifcant amount of users on here and other forums.

    Even then whn upgrading, i always create a backup of the previous version just in case something goes mental.
